2013: Made his first collegiate start in Texas A&M[apos]s season-opening 52-31 win over Rice ... completed 14-of-19 passes for 190 yards and a touchdown to help the Aggies to a 28-21 halftime lead ... saw action in five games ... had a 10-yard touchdown pass while completing 3-of-6 attempts for 28 yards against Vanderbilt ... had a 59.5 season completion percentage (22-of-37) for 293 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
2012: Appeared in five games ... connected on 5-of-11 pass attempts for 42 yards ... had a season-long 15-yard completion against Arkansas ... threw for a season-best 17 yards versus Sam Houston State.
2011: Did not see game action.
2010: Redshirted.
High School: Coached by Scott Peach at Arlington High School ... named the district[apos]s Offensive Player of the Year as a senior after throwing for 3,145 yards and 40 touchdowns with just six interceptions ... also ran for 733 yards and 12 scores ... was an honorable mention all-state pick and the district[apos]s co-MVP as a junior, totaling 3,017 passing yards and 29 touchdowns while running for 328 yards and nine scores ... threw for nearly 6,900 yards and 72 TDs in his high school career ... chose Texas A&M over offers from Arkansas and Texas Tech.
Personal: Earned a bachelor[apos]s degree in marketing from Texas A&M ... his twin brother, Luke, was an All-America offensive tackle at Texas A&M and the No. 2 overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2013 NFL Draft ... older sister Sarah was a three-year letterwinner (2008-11) in volleyball at TCU and an all-conference selection ... parents are Reecanne and David Joeckel ... David was a four-year football letterman at Texas Tech from 1979-82.
