Fans can expect an elite experience on football Saturdays in Fort Worth this fall
FORT WORTH – Ahead of Saturday's Horned Frog football home opener against Grambling State, TCU has announced multiple new features and experiences coming to historic Amon G. Carter Stadium for the 2026 season.
Most notably, TCU will introduce LED lights along with a new videoboard in the south endzone. In addition, fans can expect an overall enhanced gameday experience from the moment they arrive on campus this fall.

NEW LED LIGHTS
The lighting system in The Carter has been completely overhauled with brand new, full-spectrum LED lights. A similar installation was done in Schollmaier Arena last year and quickly became a fan favorite.
Many preparations have been made to ensure that this offers an elite experience inside the stadium, and fans are encouraged to stay in their seats as we start a new fourth quarter tradition against Grambling State.
SOUTH ENDZONE VIDEOBOARD
One of the final remaining pieces of the original stadium, the videoboard in the south endzone has become a mainstay.
Thanks to our extended partnership with Learfield, we have overhauled the structure with another brand new, state-of-the-art LED board to match the clarity and quality of the board in the north endzone. The structure will remain, but the screen will now stretch edge-to-edge rather than be framed within it, and the old scoreboard will be fully integrated.
THE CARTER MARCH
This season, the players will enter the field through the stands and between a tunnel of our bleacher creatures. The march will be as the Frogs enter the field for their official pregame warmup with approximately 50 minutes remaining on the clock before kickoff.
PREGAME INSIDE THE CARTER
There have never been more reasons to arrive to TCU football home games early, with multiple deals and experiences available to all fans this fall.

After record attendance last season, the student section at The Carter has been expanded, giving an unprecedented student population an opportunity to attend the games.
