TCU Fills Up Win Column in ITA All-American Championships Qualifying Rounds

Trio of Horned Frogs combine for eight victories
TULSA, Okla. – TCU regularly found itself in the winner's circle during the qualifying rounds of the ITA All-American Championships.
Three Horned Frogs tallied eight combined victories from Saturday-Tuesday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Matthieu Chambonniere was TCU's top performer. The junior contributed to all but one of the wins.
Chambonniere, who transferred to TCU from Ole Miss in May, pocketed four singles wins and partnered with Maximus Dussault on a trio of doubles triumphs. He battled through the prequalifying stage in both disciplines to get within one win of the main draw.
The Paris native demonstrated resolve in his run to the final round. All four of his singles wins went the distance, including three that were decided by a tiebreaker.
Chambonniere earned a notable 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (4) victory over Ohio State's Brandon Carpico, who reached the third round of the 2026 US Open doubles championship, on Sunday. Chambonniere then put himself in position to earn an ITA national singles ranking at the conclusion of the fall season the following day. He secured the highest-ranked win of his career, downing No. 77 Will Manning of NC State, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (7).
Chambonniere now stands as TCU's season leader in total wins (11) and singles wins (six).
He and Dussault notched a ranked win at the expense of Georgia's No. 62 tandem of Julian Alonso Vivanco and Maxime Dubouch, taking out the pair 6-3, 3-6, [10-8]. The TCU duo fell two points shy of a spot in the 32-team main draw, coming up short in a 10-point super tiebreaker vs. No. 32 Matthew Forbes and Alex Okonkwo.
Albert Pedrico, ranked 90th nationally, picked up the first victory of his junior campaign. He rolled to a 7-5, 6-4 decision vs. Florida's Alaa Trifi in Monday's opening round of qualifying.
Pedrico is one of three Horned Frogs set to compete in the main draw, which begins Wednesday. Pedrico and Cooper Woestendick were awarded the No. 3 seed in the doubles bracket. They open up vs. No. 38 Viktor Markov and Noa Vukadin of Clemson.
Woestendick and Roger Pascual both received direct entry in singles.
The 13th-seeded Woestendick challenges No. 59 Timofey Stepanov (Cal) in the round of 64.
Pascual, who checked in at No. 80 in the inaugural singles rankings, draws Virginia's Luca Preda in a chance to avenge a TCU loss. Preda, the preseason ITA No. 1 newcomer, rallied from a set down vs. Pedrico in the last stage of qualifying for a 1-6, 6-3, 6-1 win.
The ITA All-American Championships run through Sunday. Singles quarterfinalists and doubles semifinalists qualify for November's NCAA Individual Championships as do the finalists from the consolation singles draw.
