Din-Mbuh Named to Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award Watch List

Defensive tackle continues to be recognized for character and leadership
DALLAS – A leader on and off the field, TCU defensive tackle Ansel Din-Mbuh has been named to the Watch List for the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award, the organization announced on Thursday.
The Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award is presented annually to the FBS college football player who has demonstrated a record of leadership by exhibiting exceptional courage, integrity and sportsmanship both on and off the field. The award honors the type of exemplary character and commitment to community, family and teammates demonstrated by Jason Witten, the 2012 NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year and one of the most prominent role models in the game.
A senior in 2026, Din-Mbuh is a model for TCU student athletes, possessing a heart to lift up others around him and is incredibly giving with his time and money while leading the team on the field.
The Health Sciences major participates in TCU's annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive, providing turkeys to families experiencing food shortages. In addition, he represents the program on player panels with recruits and their families on what life is like transitioning to college and TCU.
Din-Mbuh also held a backpack drive this summer for the local community as part of his back-to-school initiative. Along with this, he also excels in the classroom being named to the 2025 Academic All-Big 12 Team.
The accomplishments continue for the Aldeo native on the field, as in his first season with the Horned Frogs he was a consistent centerpiece in the Horned Frogs defensive line. He totaled 24 tackles and 2.5 TFLs, along with two sacks.
This joins the growing list of accolades for Din-Mbuh, also being named to the Watch Lists for the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy, Outland Trophy and Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.
