Min-Gaultier tied for 13th and in position for 11th straight top-20 finish
AUSTIN, Texas – TCU sits in seventh place following the first day of play at the Betsy Rawls Invitational.
The Horned Frogs carded a 52-over 628 across 36 holes of continuous play on Monday at University of Texas Golf Club.
The second round was suspended due to darkness and will be completed on Tuesday. Eight of the 16 teams in the field were still on the course when play was called off. Play will resume at 9 a.m. and immediately segway into round three.
TCU battled wind gusts exceeding 30 miles per hour and sub-40-degree temperatures in round one. The Frogs finished 35 strokes over par (305). Conditions softened in round two and TCU halved its first round scorecard, shooting a 17-over 305.
No. 7 Texas held a 15-shot lead at 17-over 589 when play was paused. LSU's Ella Svensson paced field with an even-par 144 and tops the individual leaderboard by one stroke.
All six teams in front of TCU are nationally ranked, including No. 9 Arkansas, No. 10 Pepperdine and No. 31 Oklahoma among others. The Horned Frogs trail the Waves by eight strokes for fifth place.
Camille Min-Gaultier is in position to earn her 11th consecutive top-20 finish in a streak that dates to March of 2025. The sophomore fired a two-over 74 in round two and is tied for 13th at nine strokes over par ahead of round three.
She and Sofie Dimitrova held a share of 13th place on the leaderboard following the first 18 holes. Both players shot a 79 in round one. Dimitrova is four strokes back of Min-Gaultier and tied for 24th.
Kirstin Angosta ascended 13 places up the leaderboard in round two behind a four-over 76. She shaved 12 strokes off her scorecard from round one.
Gracie McGovern and Yvette O'Brien are tied for 43rd and 67th, respectively, to round out TCU's lineup.
Charlotte Cattaneo is competing as an individual. She is one stroke back of O'Brien and tied for 71st. Her opening round score would have counted for TCU.
