
TCU Wins in Overtime at OSU, 95-92

Edmonds records sixth double-double
STILLWATER, Okla. – TCU never trailed in a 95-92 overtime win at Oklahoma State Saturday at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
David Punch led six Horned Frogs in double-figures with 19 points. Xavier Edmonds finished with this sixth double-double in his last seven games with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
TCU (16-9, 6-6) got off to a great start, making five of its first seven 3-point attempts. For the game, the Frogs were 12-of-25 from three, four of which came from Jayden Pierre, who scored 18 points.
TCU held its largest lead of nine once in the first half and three times in the second half, the latest with 9:52 remaining in regulation, 66-57. The Cowboys (16-9, 4-8) kept within striking distance throughout the game by shooting 50.8 percent from the field and making 10 3-pointers. OSU was led by Parsa Fallah's 27 points.
The Frogs had a chance to win it in regulation with an 84-82 lead with 6.5 seconds to play. TCU's top free throw shooter this season, Liutauras Lelevicius made one of two free throw attempts, which left the door open for OSU. A 3-pointer by Jaylen Curry missed, but Fallah was there to get the rebound and the tying layup.
TCU scored seven of the first nine points to set the tone for overtime. The Frogs led by as many as six, 93-87, with 1:35 to play following two free throws by Brock Harding. OSU scored the next five points to get within one, 93-92, with 27 seconds to play. On the next possession, Micah Robinson made a layup to go up three. Curry's deep attempt at a game-tying 3-pointer missed.
Harding scored 13 points, one 3-of-5 shooting from three, and Robinson had 11 points. Tanner Toolson came off the bench to score 11 points to join the double-figure scorers.
TCU will next play at UCF on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The game will air on ESPN+.
