Forss ties for seventh while TCU takes sixth place
WEST POINT, Miss. – Ella Forss notched her second top-10 finish of the season and TCU placed sixth as a team at The Ally at Old Waverly Golf Club after Wednesday's final round was cancelled due to illness among the competing teams.
Results through 36 holes became final.
Forss tied for seventh at one stroke under par (143). She delivered TCU's low round of the tournament in Monday's opening lap around Old Waverly, signing for a three-under 69. Forss, a freshman from Gothenburg, Sweden, has notched two top-10's in three starts to begin the 2026-27 campaign. She has finished under par in the Horned Frogs' last two outings.
Kirstin Angosta and Gracie McGovern tied for 23rd with scores of three-over 147 while Camille Min-Gaultier finished one stroke back and tied for 32nd. Sofie Dimitrova tied for 63rd to cap the TCU lineup.
The Horned Frogs put themselves in position to challenge for a top-three finish via a strong second round. TCU carded a two-over 290 – the second-lowest score of any of the 17 teams in the field – and got within four strokes of third place and tournament host Mississippi State. The Frogs were set to start the third round three shots off No. 7 Florida and Kentucky.
Instead, TCU will have to settle with a 36-hole score of eight-over 584. The Horned Frogs finished two strokes ahead of seventh place Virginia Tech and notched a nine-shot victory over No. 10 Vanderbilt.
Up Next
TCU will have an opportunity to hastily resolve any lingering feelings of disappointment from the incomplete nature of the event. The Horned Frogs make the quick turn to compete at the Illini Invitational from Monday-Tuesday at historic Medinah Country Club.
