TCU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Mike Buddie provides the latest update on all things Horned Frogs
Listening to Josh Hoover earlier this summer talk about why he chose to return to TCU, I was reminded of my former Yankees teammate Mariano Rivera. He believed playing in New York to be an honor and a privilege. Hoover talked of TCU and Fort Worth with similar reverence, saying "I love Fort Worth. I love TCU. This is the place I want to be." When media ask me why I believe the Horned Frogs will compete at the highest levels of college athletics, this is part of my why. We are building something special at TCU, and I am so glad you are along for the ride.

THE FULL COUNT
Since arriving on campus, almost all of my best moments have come during conversations with our student-athletes. They are bright and determined, funny and unique. The Full Count will allow me to introduce them to our Horned Frog community and, for this inaugural edition, I'll be answering questions.

T.W.I.B. NOTES
What I have read, listened to or watched lately:
- As a football fan, I knew of LaDainian Tomlinson, the Heisman Trophy finalist, NFL MVP, Pro Football Hall of Fame running back. Being a Horned Frog has introduced me to LT and why he's a very special member of this community. Recently, TCU received the amazing gift of his Hall of Fame jacket.
- TCU football coach Sonny Dykes talked ball with Chancellor Daniel Pullin on his "Only Here" pod, and it is worth a listen (Spoiler alert: A certain AD may just be the next guest.)
- I'm not the only one talking about Horned Frog safety Bud Clark. His name is on almost every preseason watch list, and for good reason.
- TCU women's basketball coach Mark Campbell does not back down from big games and neither does men's basketball coach Jamie Dixon, and I'm here for it.
It's not every day that you get a Hall of Famer to donate his jacket to the program. Huge thanks to the legendary @LT_21 for being a Frog forever! Go 🐸!! @TCUFootball pic.twitter.com/KXhcCZTFaO

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS MIKE BUDDIE
July was a busy, and wonderful. Traci and I had a chance to connect with so many Horned Frogs, including in this city where we took in a game at this iconic stadium.
Any guesses where we were and how I fared when I took the mound there many years ago?
GO FROGS
I am excited for my first football Saturday at The Carter on Sept. 13, and we'd love for you to join us. It's Family Weekend, so it's sure to be a great opener.
