Frogs move to 7-4
FORT WORTH – The TCU equestrian team fell to Baylor 11-9 on Saturday, March 1 at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
The Frogs claimed three of the four Most Outstanding Performers. Laurel Smith in the flat, Jessica McAllister in the reining, and Lilly Goldstein in the fences.
FLAT
The competition kicked off in the flat arena, where Ashleigh Scully put the Frogs on the board with an 80 on Albert. Ella Bostwick followed, earning her point on Vino with an 83.5. Laurel Smith, the MOP for the event, secured the final point in the category with an 85 on Grande.
REINING
In the western arena, Lannie-Jo Lisac delivered for TCU with a solid 68.25 on Polly. Jessica McAllister added another point and claimed the MOP title with a 71.5 on Penny.
FENCES
The second half of the meet kicked off in the fences arena, where Lilly Goldstein scored an 82.5, securing both her point and the event MOP. Ashleigh Scully won her point on Lennox with an 83.5.
HORSEMANSHIP
The meet wrapped up with horsemanship, where Marcella Bee claimed her first career point for the Frogs with a 71 on Zip. Shea Graham followed with another strong ride, securing her point on Lola.
UP NEXT
The Frogs will be back in action on March 7 at 10 a.m. for senior day where they will take on Fresno State at KSM Bear Creek Farms.
