
TCU Secures Semifinal Spot in Conference Championship

For the third consecutive season, the Horned Frogs land a spot in CCSA semifinals.
HUNTSVILLE, ALA. – No. 2 TCU beach volleyball (33-2) secured a semifinal spot in the CCSA Conference Championship Tournament after defeating sixth-seeded Missouri State, 5-0, and fourth-seeded Florida State, 3-2.
For the third consecutive season, the Horned Frogs secured a spot in the CCSA semifinals.
Three Frog pairings completed perfect 2-0 days: Daniela Alvarez/Tania Moreno, Sutton MacTavish/Hailey Hamlett and Rochelle Scott/Hailey Brockett.
"I'm very proud of the girls and of the whole team," said head coach Hector Gutierrez. "I think that the energetic atmosphere was on every single court. The girls were really locked in which is what we needed to today. We just beat FSU, which is the only team who has won this conference so far and that is really important for us. We are not done yet and we are really excited about being in the semis again. This year we need to really go for it and get everyone excited in order to win."

The No. 1 seeded Horned Frogs will take on the No. 3 seeded Tigers at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow morning. Upon their victory, TCU will go toe-to-toe against the No. 4 seeded Lopes at 1:30 p.m.
