FROG FOCUS
The Horned Frogs begin their ninth season with plenty of confidence after a record-setting year. The team comes off the greatest season in program history which featured the program's first NCAA Tournament win, a 39-5 record with 14 Top 10 victories and 21 wins over Top 20 opponents.
When it comes to the 2023 season, the team hopes to remain the best in the Lone Star state. TCU is undefeated against teams from the state of Texas owning a 29-0 record. TCU comes into the weekend with a collective 21-0 against all four teams in this weekend's tournament.
TCU returns 17 players from last year's roster including three All-Americans, Daniela Alvarez (2021, 2022), Tania Moreno (2021, 2022) and Hailey Brockett (2021). The team is joined by five newcomers including Florida State graduate transfer, Kate Privett.
Alvarez was honored as CCSA Preseason Player of the Year for the second time in her career, making her one of the most decorated athletes in TCU program history. She was also unanimously named to the Preseason all-conference team alongside teammates Sutton MacTavish and Tania Moreno.
Anhelina Khmil joins the TCU program as a first-year from Kremenchuk, Ukraine, where she has had an extensive professional career. Khmil was named to the Preseason Player Watchlist, one of only two first-years named to the list.
