
TCU Divers Earn Three Weekly Awards

Kwong, Ekdahl and Burman honored by Big 12
FORT WORTH — Three TCU divers were recognized by Big 12 Conference, earning weekly awards. Anna Kwong and David Ekdahl were both named Conference Divers of the Week while Max Burman earned Men's Newcomer of the Week.
At BYU, Kwong won the 1-meter while breaking the school record in the process. The sophomore edged out the previous record set in 2019 (323.63) by just over a point. Kwong scored 324.65 to win the event and earn a Zone cut. This is the fourth time in Kwong's career she has been named Big 12 Diver of the Week.
Ekdahl won the 3-meter with a score of 430.20, good enough for the TCU all-time school record. The sophomore continued his impressive performance with a second-place finish in the 1-meter with a score of 339.60 and Zone cuts in both events. This marks the third time in Ekdahl's career he has earned Conference Diver of the Week.
Burman, in his second outing with the Frogs, scored 404.45 in the 3-meter, the second-best score in school history, behind Ekdahl. In the 1-meter, the graduate senior placed third with a score of 322.80. Burman secured Zone cuts in both events.
