FROG FOCUS
The Horned Frogs enter the conference tournament after polishing off the greatest regular season in the program's seven-year history. TCU set program records in total wins (23), wins over ranked opponents (nine) and home victories (12). This was the first time TCU has finished a season unbeaten at home, 12-0, with six of those victories coming against conference opponents.
The top pairing of Daniela Alvarez and Tania Moreno Mateeva were named to both the 2021 CCSA All-Conference team and the All-Freshman team, marking the first time a Horned Frog duo has received all-conference honors. They finished their freshmen seasons with a 24-4 record together at the No. 1 position, the winningest season by any Horned Frog pairing in program history.
As a team, TCU went 101-42 in all matches, the highest winning percentage and the first triple-digit win total in program history.
Hailey Brockett set a program record for most career wins, 21, when she and her partner Olivia Blackburn beat FSU No. 2 pairing McBain/Chacon last weekend. Brockett surpassed old teammate and partner Avery Arellano at 20 wins to set the new program record.
TCU won 16 of 20 total matches against CCSA opponents, with all four losses coming to Florida State. Alvarez/Moreno and Brockett/Blackburn lead the team with 16-3 records in conference duals. The No. 3 pairing, Rochelle Scott and Maria Gonzalez are close behind with a 13-4 record. Between the three top pairs, TCU boasts a 48-12 record in conference meetings.
This will be the second-ever appearance by the Horned Frogs at the CCSA tournament. They went 2-2 in their first appearance back in 2019.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
