
Twelve-Time All-American Claire Rasmus Named Volunteer Assistant

FORT WORTH — Claire Rasmus has been named a volunteer assistant coach, head coach James Winchester announced today.
"I am very excited to join the TCU swimming family as a volunteer assistant coach." Rasmus said. "I swam under James growing up, so I am excited for my swimming career to come full circle and learn from some of the best coaches in the sport. I also look forward to helping the swimmers be their best."
Rasmus swam at Texas A&M from 2015-19, collecting numerous accomplishments during her time in College Station.
She shined in the 200 free as an Aggie, setting the school record (1:43.01), earning a U.S. Olympic Trials cut, multiple All-America honors and a SEC Championship (2018).
Rasmus was also a part of two record-breaking relays between the 800 free relay team (6:54.47) that claimed the 2019 SEC Championship and the 400 free relay (3:11.91).
The former Aggie also garnered four gold medals at the 2019 Pan American Games (200 free, 4x100 free relay, 4x100 free mixed relay, 4x200 relay) and two gold medals at the 2019 World University Games (4x200, 400 free relays) for Team USA.
As a sophomore, she was a member of Team USA at the 2017 World University Games, helping Team USA to medals in the 400 free relay (bronze) and 800 free relay (silver).
Her collegiate career was decorated with 12 All-America selections deriving from the 200 free, 400 free relay and 800 free relay four times apiece.
Kyle Troskot also returns as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2020-21 season.
