TCU Diving Competes at NCAA Zones

AUSTIN, Texas – Isabella Ashdown and Connie Deighton represented TCU at the NCAA Zone D Diving meet this week in Austin, Texas. Ashdown and Deighton were the first Horned Frogs to reach NCAA Zones since the 2014-2015 season.
The highlight of the meet came on Wednesday Deighton became the first Horned Frog to reach the final round at the Zone meet since 2009. Wednesday featured the platform dive, in which Deighton scored 225.35 to break into the top 18 and advance to the finals. In the final round, Deighton improved her score to a personal-best-227.80 for a 15th place finish.
Ashdown just narrowly missed the platform with a 19th place finish in the prelims. She also finished 20th on Tuesday's one-meter dive and was only 2.51 points short of reaching the finals. Ashdown opened the meet on Monday in the three-meter with a 26th place score of 284.70.
