
Relay Record Falls on Day One

AUSTIN, Texas – TCU swimming and diving opened competition at the 2019 Big 12 Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday. Highlighting day one for the Horned Frogs, TCU's men's 800 free relay broke the school record.
SCHOOL RECORD
The 800 free relay group of Noah Cumby, Joao Andrade, Radu Duican, and Brendan Barry finished in 6:33.22, breaking the record of 6:33.66 set in 2016. Cumby, Andrade, Duican, and Barry finished second, ahead of West Virginia.
TOP 5 TIME
On the women's side, TCU's 200 medley relay of Maddie Ibrahim, Lauren Halliburton, Micaela Roemer and Claire Banic recorded the second-fastest time in school history, finishing in 1:40.39. The current record was set at last year's conference meet, when Ibrahim, Devin Newton, Roemer, and Claire Munster finished in 1:40.31.
