- TCU will look to become bowl eligible when it hosts Oklahoma State on Saturday at 7 p.m. 4TCU has reached a bowl game in 18 of the 20 seasons Gary Patterson has been on campus, including 15 of his 17 years as head coach.
- The Horned Frogs are playing their 10th game in the state of Texas this season. TCU has already played five home games in addition to contests in Dallas, Arlington, Austin and Waco. TCU left the state only twice in 2018.
- TCU is playing Oklahoma State at home for just the third time in its seven seasons in the Big 12. Upon entering the conference in 2012, TCU inherited Texas A&M's league schedule in which the Aggies owed the Cowboys an extra home game. - TCU co-offensive coordinator and running backs coach Curtis Luper played at Oklahoma State (1984- 87) before returning to Stillwater as a Cowboys' assistant coach (2005-08).
