TCU Wins Second Home Meet

FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU swimming and diving hosted Trinity (TX) on Saturday, with the Horned Frogs earning their second home victory of the season. TCU was dominant in the win, taking the top three spots in eight different events. The women's team won by a score of 183-106 and the men won 180.5-110.5.
NATIONAL INVITATIONAL CUTS
Horned Frogs finished with bonus NIC cuts in several events, including the women's 50 breast, men's 100 IM, men's 50 breast, and men's 50 back. TCU swept the women's 50 breast, led by Emily Visagie at 30.98. Lauren Halliburton and Chloe Miller followed at 31.10 and 31.20 respectively. TCU also took the top three spots in the men's 100 IM, with Radu Duican winning the event at 54.41, Kade Knoch following at 54.64, and Tommy Thach rounding out the sweep at 54.65. Jackson Boersma and Ian Bennett went took the top two spots in the men's 50 breast with times of 26.99 and 27.00. Michael Chwaluk finished second in the men's 50 back and earned a bonus cut of 24.69.
Maddie Ibrahim and Joao Andrade, who already earned NIC auto cuts in the 50 back earlier this season, won the women's and men's 50 back on Saturday.
ON THE BOARDS
Isabella Ashdown continued her winning ways. Prior to Saturday, the sophomore from Australia had one-meter and three-meter wins against Kansas and Iowa State. Against Trinity, Ashdown set season-best scores in both events, scoring 305.90 in a one-meter win and 313.35 in a three-meter exhibition. Connie Deighton and Grace Newell finished second and third in the one-meter, scoring 269.15 and 249.40

UP NEXT
TCU's divers return to action this week when they travel to Austin for the Texas Diving Invitational, scheduled for Nov. 14-16. The entire team will then travel to College Station on Dec. 1 for a double-dual meet against Texas A&M and Rice.
