Sept. 14, 2017 IT'S A WHITE OUT
The rumors are true! As I'm sure you've seen and heard, our football team is wearing the all-whites with a purple chrome lid for Saturday's 2:30 p.m. White Out game versus SMU.

GET BETTER WEEKWhile we enjoyed a victory in our home football opener two weeks ago, we owe many of you an apology for your game-day experience. We had a new event staff company making its debut with us, and it was shorthanded with many of its folks assisting in Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. It was still not an excuse for some of the problems we encountered, especially the long lines entering the stadium and concession stand shortcomings on the 400 level.
We take tremendous pride in our game-day presentation enhancing your overall fan experience. We were not at the top of our game that night and are committed to getting back to the level you've grown accustomed to at TCU.
A football coach will say his team's biggest improvement is from Week 1 to Week 2. You'll see that with us as well when it comes to your Amon G. Carter Stadium visit Saturday.

NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Edition's Answer: We dipped into the Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd 1980s classic Trading Places. It was Randolph Duke, of Duke & Duke, explaining to Billy Ray Valentine, "Commodities are agricultural products... like coffee that you had for breakfast... wheat, which is used to make bread... pork bellies, which is used to make bacon, which you might find in a 'bacon and lettuce and tomato' sandwich."

This Edition's Quote: "Look at you: member of the honor roll, assistant to the assistant manager of the movie theater."
COMPLIANCE CORNER Flick is a field hockey student-athlete at Ocean State University (OSU). Flick is a junior and currently pursuing a degree in industrial engineering. Flick is not happy with her classes and would like to change her desired degree program to business administration. OSU's policy allows students to change their major at any point during the fall semester. If Flick changes her major now, will her hours have to count toward industrial engineering or business qdministration for purposes of meeting NCAA progress toward degree requirements at the conclusion of the semester?
Flick's credit hours can count toward industrial engineering or business administration. NCAA Staff Interpretation- 11-10-89 - Change of degree program during term time - states that in regard to a student-athlete who is permitted to change his or her designated degree program during term time in accordance with institutional policy and determined that the degree credits the student-athlete earns during that term can be applicable toward the degree previously sought or toward the new desired degree for satisfactory progress purposes.
