HURRICANE HARVEY
Our thoughts are with all those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Many of our own students are from the Houston area and other parts of Texas affected by this tragedy. We pray for the safety of everyone. Please CLICK HERE to see how our University is focusing on the relief efforts around Hurricane Harvey and raising funds for the 900-plus TCU students who have been affected by this catastrophe.
WELCOME RICE OWLS
Intercollegiate athletics is a family, and we're proud to provide a home to the Rice University football program. They are using our facilities for practice and workouts. We welcome the Owls to Fort Worth and TCU.

FOOTBALL SEASON IS HERE
There's definitely a buzz in the air as we open our football season Saturday at 7 p.m. versus Jackson State. Please CLICK HERE for your one-stop shop for everything you need to know regarding your gameday experience, from tickets to stadium maps and policies, parking, tailgating, concessions, Frog Alley and more.

Make sure you're in your seat early as we'll have a pregame flyover Saturday. Four vintage planes, an A-26 and three T-6s will make their way above Amon G. Carter Stadium. Special thanks to TCU alum and season-ticket holder Bill Runyon for his efforts in making this possible.
Please note that due to the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, most of the larger buses we've used for shuttles are headed to South Texas for transport. As such, we'll have smaller buses than normal in operation for Saturday's game.

GO PURPLE FRIDAY
The start of another football season means Go Purple Friday is back and better than ever!
CLICK HERE for our new Go Purple Friday website to learn about all the special discounts from our more than 230 partners. It includes new maps for fans to see the best deals in town on Fridays. Be sure to visit and support the businesses that support the Horned Frogs.
Included in this year's Go Purple Friday is SuperFrog Selfie. Check on where SuperFrog will be stopping by throughout the fall. We want you to snap a shot with SuperFrog, post it to social media and use #GoPurpleFriday.
WI-FI UPDATE
We have engaged a company called AmpThink to do a complete season-long analysis of our current Wi-Fi infrastructure and service. As part of their in-game research, you will see several AmpThink employees in purple polos with WIFI COACH printed on the back. These people are there to assist fans who have questions about or trouble logging into our free Wi-Fi service at Amon G. Carter Stadium. They will also be popping into all the sections of the stadium throughout the season to test signal coverage and strength. Kind of like at the Oscars, they may pop into your section as a "seat filler" briefly when someone goes to get a concessions item or use the restroom. Don't worry, they won't be there long.
While we may be making some minor adjustments to our current Wi-Fi system during the season, we will review all the data from AmpThink at the conclusion of the final home game and determine how to enhance this fan service in future years. .
KEY TICKET OFFICE NOTES
Football single-game tickets are now on sale. Just CLICK HERE. If you're a TCU student, please note Thursday's deadline to request tickets for road football games. Thursday is also our deadline for basketball season ticket renewals.

ON THE DOCKET
In addition to our football season opener, we have soccer at home this weekend. We host Ball State Friday at 7 p.m. and Missouri Sunday at 7 p.m. Head Coach Eric Bell's squad is off to a 3-1 start this season.

Volleyball is 3-0 after three straight 3-game sweeps. Director of Volleyball Jill Kramer now takes her squad to Tallahassee, Fla., for a weekend tournament with matches against Colorado State, UNC Asheville and host Florida State. Cross country opens its season Friday night in Waco.
PRO FROGS
We continue to be incredibly proud of Cameron Norrie! Our 2016-17 Pop Boone Male Athlete of the Year, three-time All-American and nation's No. 1-ranked player is off to a great start in his pro career. After playing at Wimbledon, Cameron had quite the Horned Frogs contingent on hand in New York at the U.S. Open to watch him earn his first victory in a grand slam event.

OUR TEAM
In case you missed it, Associate Athletics Director for Communications Mark Cohen and his family were recently featured in the Star-Telegram. CLICK HERE to read an extremely well-written piece by Carlos Mendez on how the Cohen family has faced some unique challenges in their lives.
The below photo is from the 2001 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in College Station. If you look closely, you might recognize Associate Athletics Director for Marketing and Licensing Drew Martin in the front row and Associate Athletics Director for Ticket Operations Sean Conner in the back row on the left. They haven't aged a bit!

NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Edition's Answer: Obnoxious brother Derek, in Step Brothers, proudly proclaimed, "I haven't had a carb since 2004."

This Edition's Quote: "Commodities are agricultural products... like coffee that you had for breakfast... wheat, which is used to make bread... pork bellies, which is used to make bacon, which you might find in a 'bacon and lettuce and tomato' sandwich."
