
TCU Scholar Athletes of the Month

Oct. 31, 2017 FORT WORTH, Texas - Accomplishments in the classroom and on the field during the month of October have lead punter Adam Nunez of football and goalkeeper Katie Lund of women's soccer to be TCU's Scholar-Athletes of the Month.
Nunez is a sophomore who hails from Houston, Texas. Over the eight games played in the 2017 season, Nunez has 17 punts inside the 20 yard-line, 14 of those have come during the month of October. He had two season-long punts of 58 yards on Saturday at Iowa State. Off the field, Nunez is an admirable student, who earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 in 2016. He plans to graduate with a degree in strategic communication.
Lund, a sophomore from Plano, Texas leads the Big 12 with a 0.45 goals against average and has posted seven shutouts on the season. She earned First Team All-Big 12 Conference honors and was First Team Academic All-Big 12. Lund is majoring in business.
