
TCU Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas -- AJ Alix of women's basketball and Vladimir Brodziansky of men's basketball have been named TCU's Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week based on impressive performances in recent outings.
Alix, a Houston native, poured in a season-high 23 points at Oklahoma where she hit 5-of-10 3-pointers and tallied a career-high eight rebounds and five assists. Earlier in the week in a home contest with West Virginia, the 5-foot-6 junior scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers, and tallied four steals. For the year, Alix, who has started all 13 games for the Horned Frogs, is averaging 11.2 points, a team-high 4.46 assists and 2.5 rebounds.
The Horned Frogs (8-5, 0-2) host Oklahoma State Wednesday night at 8 p.m. at Schollmaier Arena.
Brodziansky scored a career-high 28 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the field and 10 of 11 from the free-throw line in a home meeting with Kansas. He finished a rebound shy of a double-double with nine boards, including four offensive rebounds. For good measure, the 6-11 junior from Prievidza, Slovakia, added three blocks in 31 minutes of action.
For the year, Brodziansky leads the team in scoring at 11.8 points a game and is second in rebounding at 5.4 rebounds per contest. He also has a team-high 30 blocks.
The Horned Frogs (11-2, 0-1) are back in action tonight at 8 p.m. when they host Oklahoma at Schollmaier Arena.
