Butts, a native of Lewisville, Texas, posted a career-high 25 points in the Horned Frogs' 80-75 victory over Iowa State in their first Big 12 win of the season on Sunday. Butts' 25 points came on just 15 shots from the field as she added an 8-of-10 effort from the free throw line. After her performance against the Cyclones, she has scored in double figures eight times this season and 27 times in her career.
Butts' 25 points are the most by a Frog this season. TCU will return to action at 7 p.m. on Wednesday against No. 25 Kansas State. The matchup will mark the 100th game of the senior's career.
Fisher, a native of Arlington, Tenn., has been a constant staple in TCU's success this season. Against Texas, the freshman put up a career-high 16 points as he was 4-of-8 from beyond the three-point line. TCU's 64-61 victory over the Longhorns marked their first win in Austin since Feb. 18, 1987, breaking a 14-game losing streak at Texas.
Fisher shared the wealth in their next game against Iowa State as he dished out a career-high 11 assists. Fisher also added nine points as TCU topped the Cyclones, 84-77, marking the first win in its five Big 12 campaigns against Iowa State.
TCU (14-3, 3-2) has tied its best start to a season in program history and will look to continue building momentum as the Frogs take on Texas Tech at 6:30 p.m. in Lubbock on Wednesday.
