HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We hope everyone had a terrific holiday season with the new year off to a great start. It's exciting to see students trickling back to campus for Tuesday's start to a new semester.
EXCITING TIMES
As we begin the new calendar year, it's an incredible time to be a Horned Frog! We have four sports (baseball, equestrian, rifle, men's tennis) ranked in the top 10 with baseball and rifle at No. 1. Soccer and volleyball made the postseason and football went to a bowl game. As you know, we have great momentum in our men's basketball program while our winter and spring sports are primed for outstanding seasons.
TOWN HALL MEETING SET
Please mark your calendar for Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 6:30 p.m. when we host our annual Town Hall Meeting in the Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena. We'll cover any topics that are on your mind. For those of you unable to make it or out of town, we'll again provide a live stream on our website (GoFrogs.com).
VOTE FOR LT
We're incredibly excited and proud to have LaDaianian Tomlinson as a finalist for this year's Pro Football Hall of Fame. The 2017 class will be announced Feb. 4, on the eve of Super Bowl LI. To participate in the fan vote, CLICK HERE to show your Horned Frogs support for LT!
BASEBALL GENERAL ADMISSION SEASON TICKETS AVAILABLE
Our new initiative last season of baseball general admission season tickets was very successful. We now have those popular grass bank areas down the right-field line and behind the right-field wall available for this coming season. You can catch 28 home games for just $165, which comes out to only $5.89 per date and ensures a ticket for any postseason games we might host. Just CLICK HERE to make your purchase.
ON THE DOCKET
It's a Horned Frogs and Cyclones hoops weekend in the Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena. Men's basketball hosts Iowa State Saturday at 4:30 p.m., while the women face ISU Sunday at noon.
Saturday's men's game is our last Holiday Hoops game. With classes still not in session, CLICK HERE for $20 tickets in the student general admission sections. Tickets are also available for the women's game with Iowa State on Sunday at noon. Bring the kids and stay for a clinic after the game. The clinic is for kids in the eighth grade and below. For just $8, you can get a game ticket with the clinic included. CLICK HERE to make your purchase no later than Thursday at 5 p.m.
Our swimming and diving programs return to Big 12 action Saturday at West Virginia, while our women's tennis team hosts the TCU Invitational Friday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
