Dec. 21, 2016 HAPPY HOLIDAYS
On behalf of our TCU Athletics family, I'd like to wish everyone a very happy and safe holiday season. As a heads-up, with the campus closing Friday for the break, we won't be officially back in the office until Tuesday, Jan. 3. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to hopefully seeing you in Memphis for our Dec. 30 AutoZone Liberty Bowl date with Georgia.

HOLIDAY CHEER CAMPAIGN
In an effort to #SpreadCollegeCheer for all your great support, we were extremely fortunate to give away 16 boxes of holiday cheer filled with a wish list of gear from all of our head coaches and myself. We also hope you enjoyed our Holiday Cheer videos featuring Gary Patterson, LaDainian Tomlinson, Jim Schlossnagle, Matt Carpenter and Jamie Dixon. We had a blast making these with some of our Horned Frog greats!
In case you missed our videos, here are links to all three pieces:

CONGRATS COACH PEBLEY AND COACH KRAMER
A couple of our head coaches recently achieved milestones. Women's basketball head coach Raegan Pebley won her 200th career game with Tuesday night's 95-39 victory over Alcorn State, while volleyball's Jill Kramer earned her 100th win with a 3-1 decision over Wichita State in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

NO. 1 RANKINGS
It's pretty special to be ranked No. 1 in the country in one sport, let alone two! We're proud to have our baseball program sitting atop the Collegiate Baseball preseason poll as well as having our undefeated (9-0) rifle team enjoying the top spot in the country.

Speaking of No. 1, track and field's Jalen Miller leads the nation in the indoor season with a 6.68 time in the 60 meters.
ON THE DOCKET
Men's basketball is home tonight at 8 versus Bradley. Our men and women then start conference play with home contests next week. The women host West Virginia Thursday, Dec. 29, at 6:30 p.m. with the men facing Kansas Friday, Dec. 30, at 8 p.m. Earlier that day, we will kickoff at 11 a.m. in Memphis against Georgia in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Edition's Answer: It was Eddie Murphy, as Prince Akeem of Zamunda in Coming to America, who said, "Oh sir, the Giants of New York took on the Packers of Green Bay. And in the end, the Giants triumphed by kicking an oblong ball made of pigskin through a big "H." It was a most ripping victory."

This Week's Question: "Aerosmith, 2 weeks. Don't forget."
COMPLIANCE CORNER
Ocean State University (OSU) should get its first-ever recruit from the state of Alaska. Swish, a men's basketball prospect is supposed to sign an NLI with OSU today. An OSU booster lives in Alaska and works for The Anchorage Dispatch, a local newspaper. If Swish signs the NLI to play basketball for OSU, the booster would like to interview him about being the first student-athlete from the state to attend OSU.
Is it permissible for this individual to interview Swish?
Yes with conditions. NCAA Staff Interpretation- 7/21/93 - Booster who works with a media entity having contact with a prospective student-athlete states that a media entity (e.g., radio, talk show host, newspaper reporter) who also is a representative of an institution's athletics interests may have contact with a prospective student-athlete, provided the contact is through a normal working relationship and not for the purpose of recruiting the prospective student-athlete.
