SENIOR DAY
How about those Horned Frogs in Austin! Saturday is the final home game for the seniors in our football program. Please make a point to arrive early to see our pregame recognition of these young men who have given so much to the TCU and Fort Worth communities during their time on campus. Our Senior Day festivities will begin at 10:53 a.m. with kickoff at 11 a.m. versus Kansas State.
BOWLING WITH THE HORNED FROGS
Thanks to head coach Gary Patterson, his staff and the student-athletes in our football program, we're headed to a bowl game for the 17th time in 19 seasons. We'll know our destination and opponent Sunday. Bowl game ticket requests are currently available for season-ticket holders and donors. Please note the deadline to receive tickets, based on priority rank, is Monday, Dec. 5, at 5 p.m.
RHODES SCHOLAR Caylin Moore
Caylin Moore defines student-athlete, and we couldn't be more proud to see him selected as a Rhodes Scholar. I'm sure you know that young man's journey to TCU. From being homeless as a child in inner-city Los Angeles to his father in prison for life and his mother a victim of domestic and sexual violence, Caylin is a lesson for all of us in determination and perseverance.
Caylin is what TCU is about! It's very exciting to know he'll be representing the Horned Frogs next fall at Oxford University.

LUNCHTIME HOOPS
We enjoyed a unique game experience Wednesday when our women's basketball team hosted Butler at noon. If you were in the Schollmaier Arena, or anywhere in the vicinity, you probably heard the noise. It was Fort Worth ISD Field Trip Day! We very much appreciated having the following schools in attendance and for the great home-court advantage they provided in our 73-47 win over Butler:
Alice Carlson Elementary School
Alice D. Contreras Elementary School
Carroll Peak Elementary School
Carter Park Elementary School
Clifford Davis Elementary School
Como Montessori School
Dolores Huerta Elementary School
Hazel Harvey Peace Elementary School
Hubbard Heights Elementary School
Mary Louise Phillips Elementary School
Maudrie M. Walton Elementary School
Riverside Applied Learning Center
W.J. Turner Elementary School
Westcliff Elementary School
Westpark Elementary School
We also had our very own Starpoint School in attendance. We look forward to seeing many of these boys and girls in our future freshman classes at TCU!
A 12-1 COMBINED RECORD
As people are noticing, our men's and women's basketball programs are off to great starts this season! The men, under Jamie Dixon, are 7-0 and captured the Global Sports Classic championship in Las Vegas with victories over UNLV and Washington. The next game is Saturday night at 7 when we host Arkansas State.
The women are 5-1 and head to LSU for a Sunday afternoon contest on SEC Network. The next home game for head coach Raegan Pebley's squad is Thursday at 7:30 p.m. versus Texas A&M.
Season tickets for both the men and women remain available. Just visit GoFrogs.com or call 817.257.3764 (FROG).
TOURNEY TIME
It's back-to-back NCAA Tournament trips for director of volleyball Jill Kramer's program. We face Wichita State in a first-round match today at 4:30 p.m. in Lincoln, Neb. You can follow the action on the BTNGo app and Huskers.com.
NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Edition's Answer: You know my love of Animal House. It was Stephen Bishop, singing to Faber College coeds, "I gave my love a cherry / That had no stone / I gave my love a chicken / That had no bones / I gave my love a story / That had no end / I gave my...?"
This Week's Question: "Oh sir, the Giants of New York took on the Packers of Green Bay. And in the end, the Giants triumphed by kicking an oblong ball made of pigskin through a big "H". It was a most ripping victory."
COMPLIANCE CORNER
Ocean State University (OSU) is conducting its annual cross country banquet at the end of the month. Stride, a junior student-athlete on the team, achieved First-Team All-America honors this year, so her parents and two siblings would like to attend the banquet. Is it permissible for OSU to provide complimentary admissions to Stride's family members?
Yes. NCAA Bylaw 16.6.1.6 states that an institution may provide complimentary admissions to an institutional awards banquet for the family members of any student-athlete being honored at the banquet. [R] (Adopted: 11/1/00, Revised: 1/19/13 effective 8/1/13)
As a reminder, NCAA Bylaw 16.02.4 states that for purposes of Bylaw 16, a family member is an individual with any of the following relationships to a student-athlete: spouse, parent or legal guardian, child, sibling, grandparent, domestic partner or any individual whose close association with the student-athlete is the practical equivalent of a family relationship. (Adopted: 1/19/13 effective 8/1/13)
