Oct. 27, 2016 BACK IN THE CARTER
It's been four weeks, but we're finally back in Amon G. Carter Stadium Saturday! Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. as the Texas Tech Red Raiders come to town. We still have a limited number of tickets available. Please CLICK HERE, call 817.257.3764 (FROG) or drop by our Athletics Ticket Office in the Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

CREDIT CARD QUESTIONS
We've heard from some of you about delayed charges at recent home football games showing up on your credit card statements. Sodexo, our concessions stand provider, said there was a merchant delay in transferring funds from card-holder accounts. The delay has been resolved and authorized funds were scheduled to be debited from cardholder accounts beginning Monday, Oct. 24. This delay in charges appearing on billing statements are from credit card transactions that took place between Sept. 3, the date of our season opener, and Oct. 1, our most recent home game.
A NEW RECORD
We have a new record for men's basketball season tickets! We are nearing a sellout with only 750 seats remaining available, so please CLICK HERE to make your season-ticket purchase before our remaining inventory is gone.

As you might know, we have football and baseball season-ticket sellouts with long waitlists. It's incredibly exciting and makes us proud to see the TCU and Fort Worth communities helping us now approach that milestone in men's basketball as well.

We also have women's basketball season tickets available HERE. Please call our Athletics Ticket Office at 817.257.3764 (FROG) or drop by between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to make purchases in person for men's and women's basketball season tickets.
BIG 12 MEDIA DAY
You know certain seasons are truly just around the corner when Big 12 Media Days hit. There was quite a buzz in Kansas City around Jamie Dixon earlier this week as he represented us, along with seniors Brandon Parrish, Karviar Shepherd, Chris Washburn and Michael Williams.

MEN'S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE CHANGE
Please note a previously scheduled Nov. 5 men's basketball Purple-White scrimmage will not take place. We have a lot going on that day with a home volleyball match, women's basketball exhibition game and the football contest at Baylor.
WOMEN'S GOLF ON FIRE
In case you haven't noticed, our women's golf program has been playing at a very high level. Last week, we won the Greenville Regional Preview in North Carolina by 18 strokes! It was the 18th tournament title in the 23-year tenure of head coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin.

We then followed up that title with a very strong outing at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational in San Antonio this week. Our second round 7-under-par 281 as a team tied a school record, while our 54-hole tournament score of even-par 864 was the second-best in program history.
CONTRACT EXTENSION
Bill Montigel has been an institution for the Horned Frogs. From his time as a men's basketball assistant coach in the 1980s, when he recruited Jamie Dixon to TCU, to now in his 30th year leading our men's golf program which has made 27 consecutive postseason appearances. It's 39 years overall for Bill at TCU! It was great to recently reward him with a contract extension through 2021. Congrats my friend!

ON THE DOCKET
Friday is Senior Night for our women's soccer program as we host Texas at 7 p.m. at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium. Arrive early as we'll recognize this year's senior class in a pregame ceremony along with having free giveaways, including cups, T-shirts, socks and more!

Our rifle program, which recently was ranked No. 1 in the nation, hosts Nevada Saturday. Cross country heads to Lubbock for the Big 12 Championships, while volleyball has a noon match Saturday at Oklahoma.

NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Edition's Answer: Will Ferrell, in his iconic role as Chazz in "Wedding Crashers," famously screamed, "Mom! The meat loaf!"

This Week's Question: "What about Brett Fahvera...?
COMPLIANCE CORNER
Several student-athletes at Ocean State University have been very enthusiastic about this year's Presidential race. Are these student-athletes permitted to endorse their preferred candidate?
Yes with conditions. NCAA Staff Interpretation - 12/30/87 - Student-athlete endorsement of political candidate - states that enrolled student-athletes could be involved in the endorsement of a political candidate provided the student-athletes receive no remuneration for their involvement and are not obligated to make any time commitments; suggested that the following disclaimer be utilized in any press releases containing their names:
"The student-athletes are acting as citizens of the state, and do not necessarily represent the views of their institutions of higher education or the NCAA."
