Johnson, the junior safety from Gainesville, Texas, provided strong support for TCU's defense in their 31-point comeback to beat Oregon in the Valero Alamo Bowl. One of Johnson's two pass breakups came as Oregon attempted to go for it on fourth down in triple overtime. He batted down Jeff Lockie's pass, concluded the game, and commenced the celebration. Johnson also had eight tackles in the game, one for a loss of 2 yards.
Medley, the senior guard from Springfield, Ill., led the way in TCU's 87-73 win over Kansas State on Saturday afternoon. She recorded 27 points, hit five three-point field goals, dished out four assists, and tacked on three rebounds and three steals in the game. Medley's performance moved her into the top 10 in career three-point field goals made and into the top 35 in career scoring in Big 12 Conference history.
The women's basketball team returns to action Wednesday night at 6 p.m. as they host the Oklahoma Sooners at the Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest Plus with Chuck LaMendola (play-by-play) and TCU great Janice Dziuk (analyst) on the call.
