HOME OPENER
We look forward to seeing everyone at Saturday's 2:30 p.m. football home opener versus Stephen F. Austin. The weather forecast looks great with temperatures in the mid-80s.
As you well know from last year, all fans are allowed to bring in one unopened bottle of water. In addition to what's available at the concession stands, we'll have six cooling stations located inside Amon G. Carter Stadium. They will be in all four corners on the lower level as well as two areas in the upper deck on the west side. Fire fighters and TCU ROTC will be present to assist at the cooling stations.

GAMEDAY TRADITIONS
Make sure to arrive early on Saturday to enjoy all the festivities of Frog Alley as well as seeing your 2015 TCU football team at Frog Walk. Frog Alley will open at 11:30 a.m. with Frog Walk at approximately noon.

Congratulations to volleyball's Regan McGuire and soccer's Faith Carter on receiving Big 12 honors! One week after being named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, Regan is now the Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Faith is the Big 12 Freshman of the Week. She had two goals last weekend, including the game-winner with three minutes to play in a 2-1 victory over Maryland.

The 37th Annual Horned Frog Classic, presented by Greenwood Office Outfitters, will be held Monday, Oct. 19, to support scholarships for TCU student-athletes. This year's event will be held at Colonial Country Club. As always, we'll have great prizes, player gifts, food and on-course contests. Please call (817) 257-7700 or email John Denton (j.denton@tcu.edu) for more information.
ON THE DOCKET
In addition to Saturday's home football game versus Stephen F. Austin, we have a full weekend of action on tap for our sports programs. Soccer, with a three-game winning streak, has a pair of home games. We host Abilene Christian Friday at 7 p.m. and North Texas Sunday night at 7. Friday is our Frogs for the Cure match with fans encouraged to wear pink. We'll have free pink rally towels to distribute. Sunday night is Football to Futbol. Bring your TCU football ticket to the soccer game and receive a discounted $3 ticket.

Volleyball, with a 5-1 record, heads to New Orleans for a weekend tournament. Cross country will be in Denton for a Saturday meet. Women's golf travels to Minneapolis for its second fall tournament, looking to continue the momentum from this week's season-opening second-place finish at the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational in Manhattan, Kan.
NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Week's Answer: Obnoxious little brother Chuckie Miller, played by Seth Green, in "Can't Buy Me Love," was referring to older brother Ronald (Patrick Dempsey), when he said, "You took him from 'geek' status to 'king' status to no status."

This Week: TCU senior associate athletics director for external operations Scott Kull provided this week's submission of, "Real tomato ketchup, Eddie?"
COMPLIANCE CORNER
Squib Kick is a football student-athlete at Ocean State University (OSU). The 2015-16 academic year will be Squib's third year of enrollment. Which of the following is true?
A. Squib must designate a degree program by the beginning of the 2015-16 academic year.
B. Squib must have completed at least 40 percent of the course requirements for his designated degree program.
C. Both A and B
D. Neither A or B
The answer is C. Please remember that although RWG-14-1 eliminated the formality, documentation, etc. associated with a student-athlete's degree program designation, it did not eliminate the timing. A program still has to be designated for purposes of determining percentage of degree (14.4.3.2) and whether the hours earned are degree applicable.
