OMAHA!
We are incredibly proud of our baseball program! Over the last two weekends, the student-athletes and coaches have truly defined the Horned Frog Factor! We left for Omaha and the College World Series this morning with our first game being on Sunday at 2 p.m. versus LSU. If you can't be there in person, you can watch on ESPN.
We're one of just three programs to return to the CWS from last season. We're also in select company, as one of just seven schools nationally, to be in the CWS in three of the last six years.

LUPTON STADIUM MAGIC
We can't thank you enough for creating an unbelievable home-field advantage and atmosphere the past two weekends at Charlie and Marie Lupton Baseball Stadium at Williams-Reilly Field. Our student-athletes fed off your energy. With the national television exposure we've received in the postseason, the environment at TCU home baseball games has been noticed by recruits, fans and media across the country.

#TCU15
I have received a lot of questions about the #TCU15 promotion over the past few weeks and wanted to clear up a little confusion. This code was never intended to be an exclusive promotion. In fact, it was sent out to over 7,000 TCU Frog Club members, season-ticket holders and priority points account holders, 24 hours prior to it being released on Twitter. When offered this opportunity to purchase first, our loyal Horned Frog fans seized the majority of the general admission tickets. The result was an attendance record of 21,876 over the three-game series. As we saw, there was some maroon in the ballpark, but the purple was truly seen and heard!

SPEED ON DISPLAY
Our track and field program is off to a great start at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore. The 4x100 relay team of Cameron Echols-Luper, Sam Watts, Ronnie Baker and Kolby LIstenbee recorded the fastest time in the NCAA this season with a mark of 38.65 seconds. It's the ninth-best time in our history and the best since 2001. Kolby also ran a 10.04 in the 100 meters for the fifth-best effort among wind-legal marks in TCU history.

FRESHMAN ORIENTATION
We're real proud of a new initiative from our athletics marketing office. Led by assistant director and former TCU soccer standout Jackie Torda, TCU Athletics has been helping with Freshman Orientation this year by hosting a dinner for all incoming freshmen and their parents. We've had guest appearances by our various head coaches and administrative departments in Athletics. We also have Superfrog, TCU Cheerleaders and the TCU Rangers at the dinners to assist in teaching the incoming students the RIFF RAM chant.
STAFF PROMOTION
Congratulations to David Gable on his promotion to assistant athletics director for sports medicine! Over the last 12 years, David has done a phenomenal job as our head athletics trainer for football. David fills the spot recently vacated by Chris Hall, who retired after 30 years with our sports medicine department.

TCU DAY AT THE RANGERS GAME
Before you see him throwing passes in the Sept. 3 season opener at Minnesota, you can catch Trevone Boykin tossing a different kind of ball on July 8, when he throws out the first pitch at the Rangers' game versus Arizona. It will be TCU Night at Globe Life Park.
NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Edition Answer: Thanks to my friend Jon White for submitting the following quote from Galaxy Quest, "Never Give Up, Never Surrender."

This Week: "Everybody panic! Oh my God, there's a bear loose in the coliseum! There will be no refunds! Your refund will be escaping this deathtrap with your life!
COMPLIANCE CORNER
The baseball coaches at Ocean State University (OSU) require their student-athletes to help prepare the field for practices by removing the tarps and lining the infield. This prep work takes one hour to complete. Since the coaches require the student-athletes to perform these jobs, are they considered Countable Athletically Related Activities (CARA)?
No. NCAA Official Interpretation - 12/21/11 - Student-Athlete Performing Required Field or Facility Preparation or Maintenance (I) - states that field or facility preparation or maintenance that is performed by a student-athlete, related to practice or competition and required, supervised or monitored by a coaching staff member is not a countable athletically-related activity.
