GRADUATION!
Congratulations to the more than 50 student-athletes who received their TCU degree on Saturday! Included in that total was football letterman Anthony Hickman. After completing his eligibility in 1992, Anthony returned to campus as part of the NCAA's Degree Completion Award Program. A special tip of the cap to Anthony!
LORRAINE UGEN
Many of you remember Lorraine Ugen as our two-time NCAA long jump champion. Lorraine received her FTDM (Film-TV-Digital Media) degree on Saturday. CLICK HERE to see a remarkable piece she wrote, shot and edited on a recent visit to Panama. You'll see how her talents go well beyond the track.

UPGRADE SEASON
Our ticket office is hard at work this week as we began the upgrade process for football season tickets and donor parking. As we noted earlier, we have a remarkable 97 percent season ticket and parking renewal rate for this coming season. We very much appreciate your support.

NACDA
Thank you very much for the nice notes, emails, texts and tweets many of you have sent my way on the recent NACDA announcement of its Athletics Directors of the Year. It's an absolute honor to serve all of you and work at TCU.
HONOR ROLL
The honors for our tennis programs continue to roll in. Congratulations to men's tennis coach David Roditi on being named the Wilson/ITA Texas Region Coach of the Year! This latest accolade goes with his Big 12 Coach of the Year award. Two his freshmen were also recognized by the ITA. Cameron Norrie is the ITA Texas Region Rookie of the Year with Guillermo Nuñez the ITA Texas Region Player to Watch. On the women's side, Simona Parajova was selected as the ITA Texas Region Most Improved Senior Player of the Year.

TCU DAY AT THE RANGERS GAME
Make sure to mark your calendar for Wednesday, July 8, when it's TCU Night at the Rangers game. CLICK HERE to be one of the first 1,000 fans to purchase a ticket and receive a limited edition TCU-themed Rangers hat. It's also $1 Hot Dog Night as the Rangers host Arizona.
TURF INSTALLATION
Replacement of the turf is underway in the Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility. Thanks to the leadership of senior associate athletics director T. Ross Bailey, 100 percent of the old turf as well as the sand/rubber infill are being recycled. Installation will be complete by the first week of June.
ON THE DOCKET
A Big 12 championship is at stake as our baseball program heads to Norman for a three-game series with Oklahoma. We need one win for the regular-season title. First pitch for Thursday and Friday is at 6 p.m. Saturday's series finale is at 2 p.m. All three games will be televised via FOX Sports Oklahoma. Check your local listings to see if it's available via your cable or satellite provider.

Men's tennis is in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Championships! We'll face Wake Forest on Thursday at noon in Waco. Men's golf is set to make its 26th consecutive postseason appearance, the longest streak for any sport in TCU history. First-round play begins Thursday at the NCAA Regional in Bremerton, Wash. Track and field heads to Ames, Iowa, this weekend for the Big 12 Championships.
NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Week's Answer: Bob Rollins submitted the following line by Steve McQueen as Michael Delaney in the 1971 classic Le Mans, "Racing is life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting."

This Week: "You probably get this a lot. This isn't the real Caesar's Palace is it?"
COMPLIANCE CORNER
Several Ocean State University (OSU) track and field student-athletes have qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Most of these student-athletes will also be enrolled in summer school while they are participating in this post-season event. If the student-athletes are receiving athletic aid to attend summer school, is OSU permitted to provide them financial assistance for participating in the NCAA Championship?
Yes with conditions. NCAA Staff Interpretation - 5/13/11 - Summer Financial Aid and Vacation Period Expenses (I) - states that a student-athlete who is enrolled in an institution's summer term, and is required to remain on campus for organized practice sessions (e.g., practice in preparation for an NCAA championship), may receive financial aid in accordance with the summer financial-aid legislation and vacation-period expenses, provided the student-athlete does not receive vacation-period expenses, in combination with any room and board financial aid, in excess of the full cost of room and board (as determined for financial aid purposes) during the time in which the student-athlete is required to remain on campus for practice or competition.
