TCU Announces Scholar-Athletes of the Month

FORT WORTH, Texas – Baseball's Connor Wanhanen and equestrian's Katelyn Gray have been named the TCU Scholar-Athletes of the Month for April for their work on and off the field.
Wanhanen, a freshman from Flower Mound, Texas, was named the Big 12 Co-Newcomer of the Week for the week of April 21. In the Santa Clara series, he went 5-10, including a double and a triple. He posted three multi-hit games during that stretch and two multi-RBI contests.
Wanhanen and the Horned Frogs play their final regular season game at Charlie and Marie Lupton Baseball Stadium on Tuesday, May 12, against Abilene Christian at 6:30 p.m.
Gray, a senior from Penrose. Colorado, tallied scores of 133 and 126.5 in reining and horsemanship, respectively, at the NCEA Championships on April 16. She also racked up Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors and was named to the Beval Saddlery Academic First Team.
