WELCOME TRUSTEES
It's great to have our Board of Trustees on campus this week. Welcome ladies and gentlemen!
FRIDAY NIGHT UNDER THE LIGHTS
We hope to see you Friday night when our football program closes its spring practice Under the Lights in Amon G. Carter Stadium. Gates will open at 6 p.m. with practice beginning at 7. At 8 p.m., we'll unveil our new Nike uniforms for the 2015 season. Admission is free! Due to this being on a workday for the University, please remember that no tailgating will be permitted. We apologize for any disappointment on that.

SEASON-TICKET RENEWALS
We extend a very special thanks to the many of you who renewed football season tickets by our Monday deadline. We're currently at 27,000 season tickets sold, a great start on our way to our goal of another sellout of 32,000. #FearTheFrog
NEW SIGNAGE

In case you haven't been by Amon G. Carter Stadium lately, you'll notice a new addition to the facades on the east and west sides. We've in the process of adding a listing of our conference and national championships along with our proud bowl history.

DESIGN THE COURT CONTEST
We very much appreciate everyone who provided submissions in the Design the Court contest for our new basketball home. We received over 100 entries. They were fun to see, and some of those designs are indeed quite interesting. We're currently reviewing them and will soon share a few of the prized submissions.

HONOR ROLL

Congratulations to men's tennis player Cameron Norrie and equestrian's Kaitlin Perry! Cameron is the Big 12 Player of the Week, while Kaitlin is the NCEA Equitation on the Flat Rider of the Month. We also extend our best wishes to rifle standout Hannah Black! She begins competition today at the nine-day World Cup in Changwon, Korea.

ON THE DOCKET
Beginning tonight with a 5:30 p.m. women's match versus UTA, we have some great tennis on tap for you this week. Our women, ranked 19th and 4-2 in the Big 12, will then return to conference play with home matches Friday at 5:30 p.m. versus Iowa State and Sunday at 1 p.m. against West Virginia. Men's tennis, at No. 10 in this week's poll, is at SMU tonight before hosting Texas A&M on Saturday at 1 p.m. We're one of just 10 schools nationally to have both its men's and women's tennis programs ranked in the top 10.

Women's golf, carrying the momentum of its top-two finishes of the season in its last two tournaments, plays locally this weekend at the Dallas Athletic Club in the SMU Invitational. It's 36 holes on Friday, beginning at 8 a.m., and 18 on Saturday, also at 8 a.m. If you're in the area, please drop by and support them. Baseball, ranked as high as No. 2 in the nation, heads to Kansas State for a weekend series, while track and field will compete on Saturday in Abilene at the Wes Kittley Invitational.

Last Week's Answer: Eddie Murphy, as Prince Akeem of Zamunda in Coming to America, said, "Oh sir, the Giants of New York took on the Packers of Green Bay. And in the end, the Giants triumphed by kicking an oblong ball made of pigskin through a big H. It was a most ripping victory."

This Week: "I am the last barman poet."
COMPLIANCE CORNER

Bank Shot and Dunk are two basketball student-athletes at Ocean State University (OSU). Both of these student-athletes are going to be playing on an outside team this summer and have to raise money for participation and travel. Which of the following is true?
A. OSU can provide the names of boosters to Bank and Dunk's outside team administrators.
B. OSU can provide the names of boosters to Bank and Dunk.
C. OSU boosters can make donations and earmark them for Bank and Dunk's expenses.
D. None of the above.
The answer is D. NCAA Educational Column - 3/1/12 - Donations to Outside Sports Clubs or Training Centers (I) - states that NCAA Division I institutions should note that it is not permissible for a member institution or a member institution's booster club to sponsor or make a donation, directly or indirectly, to an outside sports club or training center (e.g., amateur club team, Olympic training center) that involves a student-athlete from that institution or any prospective student-athletes. Further, it is not permissible to provide the names of representatives of the institution's athletics interests to an outside sports club or training center participants for the purpose of soliciting donations. However, it is permissible for a representative of the institution's athletics interests to donate to an outside sports club or training center, provided the representative acts independently of the institution, the funds are distributed through channels established by the organization conducting the fundraising activity and the funds are not earmarked directly for a specific student-athlete or prospective student-athlete.
