WEEKEND RECAP
We very much appreciate your great support this past weekend at Friday Night Under the Lights and Saturday's men's tennis home match versus Texas A&M. We had approximately 10,000 people in Amon G. Carter Stadium for our Spring Game and new Nike uniform unveiling. We then had nearly 2,000 folks back on campus the following afternoon to watch our men's tennis program defeat No. 7 and SEC champion Texas A&M, 4-0.

SPRING SALE SET
One of our more popular events is back! We'll have our Spring Sale on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Visiting Locker Room inside Amon G. Carter Stadium. The Spring Sale features apparel and gear from all our sports teams. Please park in Lot 2, the lower lot behind the press box side of the stadium, and we'll have signage directing you in. All merchandise must be paid with cash or a debit/credit card. No checks will be accepted.
HORNED FROGS SERVING OTHERS
We're very appreciative of our former student-athletes taking part in the TCU Lettermen's Association National Week of Service. We currently have letter winners representing 19 sports, over seven decades, serving in community service projects across 24 states and 80 cities this week. If you are on Twitter, please visit @TCULettermen to see pictures and posts from across the country. #TCULTRGIVEBACK

COODY CLASSIC IS HERE

Spend the day supporting scholarships for our student-athletes as well as visiting with all our coaches. Player spots for the morning round are still available. HONOR ROLL

Congratulations to baseball's Preston Morrison on being named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week after his complete-game shutout at Kansas State. It's the second time this season and fourth time in his career that Morrison has received the honor. We're also proud of men's tennis player Guillermo Nuñez and women's golfer Kortnie Maxoutopoulis being named the TCU Scholar-Athletes of the Month for March.

BASEBALL PROMOTIONS

As always, our marketing staff has some exciting promotions in store for you with this weekend's home baseball series with Santa Clara. On Friday, all fans are invited to join the left field pre-game tailgate in Lot 13. We'll have live music starting at 5 p.m. Students who arrive early will receive a TCU "Come and Take It" flag. It's also Texas Night. First pitch for the game is at 6:30 p.m. Game two of the series on Saturday is at 4 p.m. For Sunday's 1 p.m. series finale, it's Kids' Day. We'll have pre-game inflatables, face painters and a crafts station. Following the game, all kids can run the bases and get autographs with the team. It's also $1 hot dogs on Sunday.

ON THE DOCKET
We have plenty of activity on tap for you this weekend. In addition to our three-game baseball series with Santa Clara, our men's and women's tennis programs have a key doubleheader on Saturday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. All four teams are in the top 20. Our 19th-ranked women host No. 15 Texas Tech at 10 a.m., while our No. 7 men face No. 10 Texas at 1 p.m.

Best wishes to equestrian as it competes against Oklahoma State on Thursday in the opening round of the National Championships in Waco. Track and field will also be in Waco for Saturday's Michael Johnson Classic. Men's golf hits the links in Lubbock on Saturday for the Red Raider Shootout.

COMPLIANCE CORNER

Several Ocean State University men's basketball student-athletes will participate in out of season skill instruction over the next few weeks with the coaches. The media relations director always receives questions regarding workout schedules. Would he be allowed to send a press release to local media regarding dates of individual skill instruction and media interview opportunities?
No. NCAA Bylaw 17.1.7.2.2 states that participation by student-athletes in skill-related instruction in sports other than baseball and football is permitted outside the institution's declared playing season, from the institution's first day of classes of the academic year or Sept. 15, whichever occurs earlier, to one week prior to the beginning of the institution's final examination period at the conclusion of the academic year [see Bylaw 17.1.6.2-(a)]. More than four student-athletes from the team may be involved in skill-related instruction with their coaches from Sept. 15 through April 15. Prior to Sept. 15 and after April 15, not more than four student-athletes from the same team may be involved in skill-related instruction with their coaches at any one time in any facility. Skill-related instruction shall not be publicized and shall not be conducted in view of a general public audience.
