TCU Announces Scholar-Athletes of the Month

FORT WORTH, Texas - Men's tennis' Guillermo Nuñez and women's golf's Kortnie Maxoutopoulis have been named the TCU Scholar-Athletes of the Month for March for their work on and off the field.
When he's not pursuing his economics major, Nuñez, a freshman from Santiago, Chile, is proving that his he a worthy asset to the Horned Frogs tennis team. The freshman won nine of his 19 match win streak in the month of March helping TCU hold on to their #10 ITA ranking.
The men's tennis team's next match is at home against in-state rival No. 9 Texas on Saturday, April 18, at 1 p.m. at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
In her two tournaments in March, Maxoutopoulis, a political science major, finished 10th and tied for fourth leading the Horned frogs to place 3rd in both the Clover Cup and LSU Tiger Golf Classic. The two tournaments scores were her best finishes in her three-year career at TCU.
Maxoutopoulis and the women's golf team will travel to San Antonio on April 24th to compete in the Big 12 Championships.
