COMMITTEE SELECTION
I'm most appreciative of the recent opportunity to represent TCU on the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee. The selection is a true testament to the success of our baseball program and the national respect for it. There are some great colleagues on the committee, and I very much look forward to working with them on all aspects of our great game.
TACO TUESDAYS
We're going to make TCU baseball and tacos synonymous with each other this spring. Please mark your calendar for all Tuesday home games when $3 tacos will be available as part of Taco Tuesday at the ballpark.
RANKINGS
It was great to see our baseball program recognized this week with a No. 1 ranking by Collegiate Baseball. With our equestrian and rifle programs both currently ranked third and football finishing the season No. 3 in season-ending polls by the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches, we have four sports in the top-three nationally. Both our tennis programs are in the top 20 and men's track and field is No. 21. Overall, we have had nine sports ranked in the top 25 this season.

HITTING THE LINKS
Please mark your calendar for Monday, April 20, as our popular TCU Coody & Coaches Classic, presented by SODEXO, will be held at Texas Star Golf Course in Euless. Join our head coaches and TCU's own Masters champion Charles Coody for a day of fun to benefit scholarships for student-athletes. Please call (817) 257-7700 to sign up now. This event is an annual sellout.
ON THE DOCKET
We hope to see you tonight at Wilkerson-Greines as our men's basketball program hosts Kansas State at 7 p.m. We'll look to continue the momentum from Saturday's 70-55 win over No. 21 Oklahoma State. Women's basketball is tied for third place in the Big 12 after last night's 73-67 victory over Kansas. Both the men and women are on the road Saturday with games at Kansas at Baylor, respectively.

Our top-ranked baseball program, at 4-0 on the season, will be at No. 9 Arizona State for one of the nation's top series this weekend. Women's tennis hosts USF on Friday at 5:30 p.m., while men's tennis will play at Rice on Sunday at noon. Equestrian has Big 12 contests at Kansas State and Oklahoma State, while rifle will shoot in an NCAA Qualifier at Air Force. Men's golf returns to action this weekend with a tournament in Palm Desert, Calif. Track and field will be represented at a meet in Fayetteville, Ark.

NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Week's Answer: It was Matt Dillon, speaking to Owen Wilson in You, Me and Dupree, who said, "You get your first ten-speed bike, and suddenly you're Lance Armstrong."
This Week: "You'll get nothing, and like it!"
COMPLIANCE CORNER
All of Ocean State University's (OSU) incoming freshmen will be enrolling in classes at OSU this summer. Two of these individuals will also need to complete one core course to fulfill NCAA initial eligibility requirements. Can these student-athletes complete the core course at the same time they are receiving an athletic scholarship from OSU to attend summer school?
No. NCAA Bylaw 14.3.1.2.1.1.1 states that a prospective student-athlete may not use a core course completed after high school graduation to satisfy initial-eligibility requirements if the prospective student-athlete is enrolled in the core course while concurrently receiving athletically-related financial aid to attend an institution's summer term. A prospective student-athlete may use a core course completed after high school graduation, provided the prospective student-athlete either completes the core course prior to receiving athletically-related financial aid to attend an institution's summer term or does not enroll in the core course until after he or she completes the institution's summer term for which he or she is receiving athletically related financial aid (see Bylaw 15.2.8.1.4).
