Dec. 2, 2015 THANK YOU HORNED FROGS NATION!
On behalf of our football program, we can't thank you enough for the unbelievable support you showed our football program this season. Your passion for the Horned Frogs was never more evident than when you braved the elements Friday night at our Baylor game. Even with the rain falling, you absolutely made a difference in providing our student-athletes a true Amon G. Carter Stadium home-field advantage.

We set a TCU record this season with 34,094 season tickets sold as well as additional school marks with our per game average attendances of 46,767 overall and 4,176 for students.
VOLLEYBALL IS GOING DANCING!
Congratulations to head coach Jill Kramer, her staff and especially the student-athletes in our volleyball program on earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament! We open play Friday at 4:30 p.m. versus Hawai'i in College Station. In her first season, Jill has led us to just our second postseason appearance in volleyball.

TCU ON TV
It's consistently been the norm this season and proved true again against Baylor. TCU football is a major TV draw! Our 3.2 national overnight rating marked ESPN's best Black Friday game in five years. It was also up 88 percent from the same TV window last season.
Locally, our 8.2 rating was easily No. 1 for Friday sports programming in Dallas-Fort Worth, the nation's No. 5 television market. The Iowa-Nebraska football game was second at 3.1.
HONOR ROLL
After his 23 tackles, including the game-ending stop on Baylor's fourth-and-1 in the second overtime, it was great to see Ty Summers recognized as the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week as well as the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week! Ty also has the Horned Frog Factor in the classroom. Last month, he was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team.

Our NCAA Tournament-bound volleyball program was also well-represented on the honors front. For the second straight season, Ashley Smith was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team and is joined on the squad by Regan McGuire and Natalie Gower. Ashleigh Martin became our first player in program history to be named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team.

UPCOMING TICKET DEADLINES
We'll learn our bowl destination Sunday. Don't forget to have your bowl ticket request submitted by our Monday, Dec. 7, deadline.
Baseball season ticket renewal information is being sent this week. The deadline for renewals is Friday, Jan. 8. Ticket prices will remain the same as last season. For the first time, TCU will offer season tickets for the Grass Hill general admission seating. The season ticket price for this area will be $165 and include all 30 home games plus first opportunity to purchase GA tickets for any possible NCAA Regional or Super Regional games.
SAVE THE DATE
As I'm sure you know, our baseball program's annual First Pitch Banquet is the perfect way for us to welcome a new season. Please mark your calendar for Feb. 12 as this year's event, to be held at the Omni in downtown Fort Worth, will feature a couple of prominent Horned Frogs in Cy Young Award winner Jake Arrieta and two-time National League All-Star Matt Carpenter. More information, including registration details, will be available soon.

HOOPS IS HERE
We have plenty of basketball on tap this week. In addition to tonight's men's game versus SMU at Wilkerson-Greines, there's a doubleheader Saturday at the Rec Center. Our women will host ULM at 2 p.m. with the men facing Colgate at 7.

NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Week's Answer: Patrick Swayze as legendary surfer Bodhi in "Point Break" said, "Fear causes hesitation, and hesitation will cause your worst fears to come true."

This Week's Question: "I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your position paper on economic expansion in Micronesia."
COMPLIANCE CORNER
With Saturday's win, Ocean State University (OSU) football team has qualified to participate in a bowl game. The Director of Football Operations at OSU is researching travel options for the potential bowl games they could be selected for in mid-to-late December.
OSU has three prospects that will be initially enrolling at OSU in January. Can OSU pay expenses for these individuals to attend the bowl game?
No. NCAA Bylaw 16.8.2.1 states that in bowl subdivision football, an institution may not provide expenses (e.g., travel, room and board, entertainment, incidental expenses, etc.) to a student-athlete who is a mid-year enrollee (freshman or transfer) for participation in a postseason bowl game that occurs before or during the student-athlete's initial term of full-time enrollment at the institution.
