Momentum Building for TCU Basketball

On Friday morning, ESPN ranked the Horned Frogs at No. 71 in its power rankings of all 351 NCAA Division I teams. Consider this, when head coach Trent Johnson took over the program in 2012, the Frogs were ranked as low as No. 156 amongst all NCAA teams. The Purple and White have continued to climb each year under Johnson's guidance, culminating in a 13-0 start and a top-25 ranking a year ago, which hadn't happened since 1998.
Broken down even further, TCU's recent progress becomes more evident. The Horned Frogs were receiving votes in both polls last season, beginning in week four (Dec. 1). As of Feb. 2, TCU was still receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll, which marked the first time in over 15 years that the Horned Frogs had been receiving votes that late into the season.
Fans can get their first look at the program's momentum tonight inside the Rec Center, beginning at 8:30 p.m.
