TCU Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas – Natalie Gower of volleyball and Carley Montemuro of equestrian earn this week's title as TCU's Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week based on outstanding performances.

Gower, a native of St. Louis, Mo., had a career night and led the Horned Frogs to an exciting five-set comeback win over Big 12 rival Baylor. The junior finished the night with 10 blocks, eight kills, a .615 hitting percentage and no errors.

The Horned Frogs have won five out of their last six and their most recent win moved the Horned Frogs to (15-5, 5-3 Big 12). The Frogs will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 25th at 6:30 p.m. to take on No. 2 Texas.

Montemuro, a junior from Mastic Beach, N.Y., defeated Claire Ulhman of Baylor 72.5-71.5 en route to her second-consecutive MOP honor of the year.

The No. 6 Horned Frogs battled the No. 3 Baylor Bears to a 9-9 draw but fell by an overall raw score. The Frogs return to action on Oct. 31 to host South Dakota State.
