Rifle Opens Season With Busy Weekend

FORT WORTH - The No.3 ranked TCU women's rifle team opens its 2015-16 season with a jam-packed weekend of action.
The Horned Frogs will head to Memphis on Saturday for the Tiger Open before traveling to the Ole Miss Invitational on Sunday. Start time is set for 8 a.m. CT for both days. The Frogs will face a good number of teams over the weekend as both meets run over the course of a few days.
Head Coach Karen Monez has her team set for another successful season with 11 returners from last year's squad that finished third at the National Championships. In addition, she added a pair of talented freshmen in Rachel Garner and Nicole Hankey. All five shooters that traveled to the National Championships return in senior Hannah Black, junior Sally Li, and sophomores Katie Bridges, Mindy Miles and Ariana Grabowski.
The last time the rifle team competed in both invites was in the 2013-14 campaign where they placed first and second at Memphis and Ole Miss, respectively.
