TCU Remains Undefeated; Tops Nevada

FORT WORTH – Another solid showing on the range helped the TCU rifle team remain undefeated as the Horned Frogs topped Nevada 4,686-4,641. Sally Li topped all shooters with a season-high 1,176 aggregate score.
TCU turned in its second-highest smallbore score of the season, shooting a 2,323. Nevada kept the match close with a tally of 2,307. Rachel Garner paced all shooters with her 584 followed closely by Li's season-high of 583. Finishing fourth among all shooters was Hannah Black with a 580. Rounding out the counting scores was Mindy Miles with a score of 576.
The Horned Frogs ran away with the air rifle victory, topping Nevada 2,363-2,334. TCU boasted four of the top five scores in the discipline. For the fourth straight match, Mindy Miles paced the Frogs with a 594. Li fired a 593 to finish second. Nicole Hankey finished fourth after shooting a 589, followed by Black with a mark of 587.
While not factoring in the team score, Kelly Bogart tied her season-high with a 590 for a third-place finish. Combined with her score of 570 in smallbore, she also set a season-high with an 1,160 aggregate score.
TCU returns to the range on Sunday, Oct. 25 when it hosts nationally-ranked Nebraska.
