SUPER REGIONALS ARE HERE!
Congratulations to our baseball program on winning the Fort Worth Regional! We thank all of you for turning Lupton Stadium into a sea of purple and a great home-field advantage. Twice over the weekend we set a TCU regional attendance record. You might have also heard opposing coaches talking about how our team feeds off the crowd here. Keep it rolling this weekend! We need all of you back at Lupton Stadium as we host a Super Regional for the first time in program history.
GAME INFO
Our three-game series with Pepperdine begins Saturday at 3 p.m. Game 2 is Sunday at 5 p.m. If necessary, Game 3 is Monday at 6 p.m. Even though all the games will be televised on ESPNU, we need you at the ballpark!
SUPER REGIONAL TICKET INFORMATION
Season-ticket holders and students can purchase All-Session Super Regional passes now. All-session passes are $40 for adults and $30 for youth (12 and under) and TCU students. Students are only allowed to purchase one pass at a discounted price.

FOOTBALL SEASON TICKETS
Football season tickets will be on sale to the public starting Friday! After taking care of our wait list, we're currently at 29,000 season tickets sold with a third consecutive sellout well within our sights.

FROM THE CLASSROOM
We're very proud of Justin Chambers and Shannon Speir from our track and field program being recipients of Dr. Prentice Gautt Postgraduate Scholarships from the Big 12. Justin is headed to Texas A&M, while Shannon will continue her studies at Arkansas.
DMC DEMOLITION
As you can see from the below photo, the longtime familiar front entrace of Daniel-Meyer Coiseum has been removed. It's all part of our $59 million renovation. We'll continue to post updates for you.

BABY RODITI ARRIVES
A special Horned Frogs welcome to Max Elias Roditi, the newest member of our TCU family! Max is the son of men's tennis head coach David Roditi and women's golf assistant coach Lori Roditi. Max Elias was born Sunday at 9:22 p.m. and weighs 7 pounds and 12 ounces. Everyone is doing well, and no word yet what will make it into his hand first: a tennis racket or golf club.

ON THE TRACK
Congratulations and best wishes to our 18 track and field student-athletes who will represent us next week in Eugene, Ore., at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. We'll have four student-athletes competing as individuals along with four relay teams.

MEET THE STAFF
We're excited to have Ike Ukaegbu on board as our new assistant athletics director for compliance. Ike comes to us after serving as the associate athletics director at VCU. He also worked in compliance at Boise State, Cal State Fullerton and American University. A native of Laramie, Wyo., Ike graduated from Arizona with a degree in political science. He also has a master's in sports administration from St. Thomas University. Ike's office is in the Amon G. Carter Stadium press box on the third level. If you're in the area, drop by and say hello to him. Ike and his wife, Katie, have a son Devin and daughter Rosie.
NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Week's Answer: We dipped into the Breakfast Club for the memorable exchange between Brat Packers Emilio Estevez and Anthony Michael Hall, "What do you need a fake I.D. for? So I can vote."
This Week: With us hosting a Super Regional this weekend, we go with a baseball theme, "Don't try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic."
COMPLIANCE CORNER
Application of NCAA Division I Proposal No. 2013-31-B (Awards, Benefits and Expenses -- Meals and Snacks Incidental to Participation)
NCAA Division I member institutions are reminded that beginning Aug. 1, 2014, an institution is permitted to provide meals and snacks to student-athletes as a benefit incidental to participation in intercollegiate athletics. The following information is designed to assist institutions with the application of the legislation.
Since the adoption of Proposal No. 2013-31-B, the NCAA national office has received numerous questions from the membership regarding the application of the new legislation. More specifically, given that the legislation provides institutions the discretion to provide all student-athletes (scholarship and non-scholarship) with meals and snacks incidental to participation, questions have arisen concerning the impact on financial aid legislation and the meaning of "incidental to participation." Consistent with the deregulatory nature of this rule change and recognizing the uniqueness of institutional meal plans and polices, institutions and conferences have the discretion to provide student-athletes other meals or snacks as they deem appropriate and consistent with institutional policies and financial aid regulations. As adopted, the legislation does not permit institutions to avoid applying the financial aid legislation. For example, meals and snacks provided as benefits incidental to participation in intercollegiate athletics are not intended to replace meals that would normally be provided through a dining plan or an off-campus board stipend.
The Division I membership will have the opportunity to examine the various outcomes of this new legislation through the new governance model.
Lastly, similar to the deregulation that occurred as part of the NCAA Working Group on Collegiate Model - Rules process in the area of student-athlete benefits, the membership should be assured that exercising the discretion described above to provide meals or snacks to student-athletes will not result in second-guessing by the NCAA staff.
