Dear TCU Horned Frogs Nation:
With the Big 12 releasing its new branding and identity standards, including a dynamic new logo, this is a great time to take a step back and reflect on our long road traveled. We are truly blessed to be a member of the Big 12 Conference and celebrate the 2-year anniversary of our journey home.
The Big 12 is a perfect fit for TCU, and we couldn't be happier to be affiliated with the nine other institutions in the conference. There is tremendous unity throughout the league, defined by the 13-year grant of rights signed in 2012.
From the Southwest Conference to two versions of the Western Athletic Conference, Conference USA, Mountain West and even dipping our toes in the Big East, it's been an incredible ride. You are truly to be commended for your passion and support in helping elevate us to where we now stand.
The Big 12 is in a position of strength like never before. Its rebranding campaign accentuates it. We take tremendous pride in being the only major conference to have "One True Champion," as everyone plays everyone.
The great run by our baseball program, which included a Big 12 championship and second trip in five years to the College World Series, illustrates what is possible at TCU. All told, through teams and individuals, we won six conference titles in the 2013-14 athletics campaign. We also had a national champion as Lorraine Ugen captured the long jump title at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Seeing the $59 million makeover of Daniel-Meyer Coliseum is evidence of our commitment to provide the best experience possible for our student-athletes and fans. When work is completed in time for the 2015-16 season, our men's and women's basketball programs will have a new home that makes TCU and Fort Worth proud.
It's a great time to be a Horned Frog, and a great time to be a member of the Big 12 Conference!
Thank you.
