A GREAT RUN TO OMAHA
Congratulations to head coach Jim Schlossnagle, his staff and the student-athletes in our baseball program on a season that truly made TCU and Fort Worth proud! From a Big 12 championship to hosting a Super Regional for the first time in program history and making a second College World Series appearance in the last five years, it was a season to remember.
We were glad to have your tremendous support along the way. With the packed stands at Lupton Stadium and the sea of purple in Omaha, you were difference makers for our baseball program and very much appreciated by those on the field.

TCU NIGHT AT RANGERS' GAME
We thank the Texas Rangers for hosting TCU Night at Globe Life Park with this evening's 7 p.m. game versus the Detroit Tigers. Make sure to be there early. Gary Patterson will be throwing out the first pitch, while our Big 12 champion and College World Series participant baseball program will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony.
The first 1,000 fans who purchase their tickets through this special promo offer Click Here will receive a commemorative Rangers hat in TCU purple.
As an added bonus, TCU great Bryan Holaday is now playing with the Tigers and having a very good season.
FOOTBALL SEASON TICKETS
A very limited number of football season tickets and road game tickets are available. We anticipate a third consecutive sellout of season tickets, so don't delay in making your purchase. You can visit the following link Click Here, call (817) 257-3764 or drop by our Athletics Ticket Office in Amon G. Carter Stadium.

TEMPORARY HOME
With the $59 million renovation of the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum, our basketball home will be out of commission for the 2014-15 season. Our men's team will play its home games at Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center in Fort Worth. The women will remain on campus as they'll utilize the Rec Center and look to duplicate the same great home-court atmosphere that our volleyball program enjoys. As with the rebuild of Amon G. Carter Stadium in 2011, there will be some inconveniences for everyone for one year. We very much appreciate your patience as we look forward to our men's and women's programs having a new home for the 2015-16 season.
FROM THE CLASSROOM
Justin Chambers continues to rack up the postseason honors! Congrats to Justin on being named the Big 12 Men's Track and Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year! Justin, who earned a 3.87 grade-point average in economics, also received a Dr. Prentice Gautt Postgraduate Scholarship from the Big 12. Justin defines the TCU Horned Frogs Factor!

RICHARD DURRETT
As you know, we lost a great friend in TCU graduate Richard Durrett last week. I've been asked about ways for you to contribute to his fund. Donations can be made at Click Here or through the mail at Richard Durrett Family Fund, Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, 1000 Ballpark Way, Suite 400, Arlington, TX 76011. Donations made through the Rangers Foundation in his memory will be directed to the Richard Durrett Family Fund. Donations can also be made to the Richard Durrett Family Fund, c/o Liberty Bank, 3880 Hulen Street, Suite 100, Fort Worth, TX 76107 or at any of their five metroplex locations.
A GREAT READ
I've always been an avid reader, going through one or two books a week. For my recent birthday (and thank you all for the many birthday greetings I received), a friend gave me the below book, "Baseball as a Road to God" by John Sexton. It's a bit academic but well worth a read. It's about baseball beyond the playing field.

WOMEN'S CLINIC APPROACHING
The TCU Gary Patterson Women's Football Clinic, one of our more popular annual events, will take place July 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility. This year's event will benefit H.O.P.E. Farm Inc. To register, please see the following link Click Here or call (817) 257-5889.
NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Week's Answer: Kelly Preston, in For Love of the Game, said to Kevin Costner, "I need a regular guy. Not the guy in the Old Spice commercials."
This Week: "I may play ball next fall, but I will never sign that. Now me and my loser friends are gonna head out to buy Aerosmith tickets. Top priority of the summer."
COMPLIANCE CORNER
The Ocean State University (OSU) football team is traveling to an away from home contest this weekend. OSU has designated this trip as a family trip, so the sport administrator would like to bring his high school-aged son. Is this permissible?
Yes.
NCAA Staff Interpretation - 12/2/08 - Prospect-Aged Child of an Institutional Staff Member Traveling with the Institution's Team to an Away-From-Home Contest (I/II/III) - states that it is permissible for an institution, at its discretion, to provide expenses related to travel (e.g., transportation, lodging and meals) to away-from-home contests to prospect-aged children of institutional staff members and athletics department staff members.
