GAMEDAY IN MORGANTOWN
If you can't make it to Morgantown for Saturday's top-20 matchup between our seventh-ranked Horned Frogs and No. 20 West Virginia, make sure to get a true feel for the game and atmosphere by watching ESPN's College GameDay. They'll be live in Morgantown. We have a crew on campus this week, taping interviews for the show.

WELCOME GRETCHEN!
We're proud to introduce Gretchen Bouton as our new senior associate athletics director for student services. Gretchen will oversee our NCAA compliance efforts as well as academic services, sports medicine, strength and conditioning and the equipment room. Gretchen replaces Andrea Nordmann, who was outstanding in that role for the last seven years. Andrea is still a Horned Frog but has moved into a new role on campus, working with Chancellor Boschini as our Chief University Compliance Officer. Gretchen comes to TCU after serving as an associate athletics director for compliance at the University of Arizona.
HORNED FROG CLASSIC RECAP
A very special thanks to our sponsors and the 234 players who took part in the 36th-annual Horned Frog Classic last week at Colonial Country Club. The HFC generated more than $262,000 in scholarship support for TCU student-athletes. A shout out as well to title sponsor Greenwood Office Outfitters, our men's and women's golf programs and 1971 Masters champion and TCU's own Charles Coody, who spent all day on the course hitting shots with each team.
A VOLLEYBALL HALLOWEEN
Our volleyball program is hosting a Halloween Party at tonight's 7 p.m. match versus West Virginia. Free TCU Trick or Treat Bags will be distributed to the first 100 kids. We'll also have a costume contest for children 10-and-younger at halftime. The winner of the costume contest gets to Trick or Treat with SuperFrog on Halloween!

COOPERSTOWN BOUND
In becoming the first player in history to appear in the College World Series and Major League Baseball World Series in the same season, Brandon Finnegan has brought us some great exposure worldwide. His game-worn Kansas City Royals' hat, pictured below, will be on display in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.

CONGRATULATIONS TREVONE!
After his record-setting seven touchdown passes in our win over Texas Tech, Trevone Boykin has been the recipient of some great honors this week. He's been named the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week and the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week. Trevone has also been recognized as the Davey O'Brien Quarterback of the Week and a Manning Award Star of the Week. Additionally, he was the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.

A HOLE-IN-ONE!
For the second time this fall, our women's golf program has produced a hole-in-one! Congrats Chaney Uhles for accomplishing the feat Tuesday on the par 3, 162-yard eighth hole at the Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio. Kelly McGovern also had a hole-in-one at the Golfweek Conference Challenge last month in Vail, Colo.

FROG FACTOR
It's always great to see our former lettermen returning to campus. The South End Zone in Amon G. Carter Stadium is their home. Pictured below are Matt Carpenter and LaDainian Tomlinson in the Moncrief Club as they enjoyed our football win over Texas Tech.

ON THE DOCKET
We hope to see you tonight at 7 in the Rec Center as our volleyball program continues a four-match home stand against West Virginia. We'll also host Kansas on Saturday at 1 p.m. Soccer closes its regular season on Friday night at Iowa State. In addition to football at West Virginia on Saturday, equestrian is home versus Oklahoma State and rifle hosts Nevada and Jacksonville State. We'll also have four sports in Lawrence, Kan., on Saturday. Men's and women's cross country will be at the Big 12 Championships with men's and women's swimming and diving competing against Kansas and North Dakota. Women's tennis will be represented in tournaments in Houston and Captiva Island, Fla.

NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Week's Answer: The great Jack Nicholson, as Col. Nathan R. Jessup in A Few Good Men, said, "You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall."
This Week: "What do you think the chances are of a guy like you and a girl like me... ending up together?
COMPLIANCE CORNER
Slam Dunk is a former basketball student-athlete at Ocean State University (OSU). Slam exhausted his eligibility five years ago and has been playing in the NBA. Slam is in town visiting with the coaches this week and would like to participate in a few practices with the team. Is it permissible for Slam to practice? Yes with conditions. NCAA Bylaw 14.2.1.6 states that a former student at the certifying institution (e.g., former student-athlete) may participate in an organized practice session on an occasional basis, provided the institution does not publicize the participation of the former student at any time before the practice session.
