BIG WINS!
Congratulations to our women's basketball program on Sunday's historic 54-48 win over Texas! It marked our first-ever victory over the Longhorns. Head Coach Jeff Mittie's squad is now 3-3 in the Big 12 and 12-6 overall.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR SATURDAY
With Saturday's 8 p.m. home men's basketball game versus Kansas sold out, please make sure to arrive early to avoid long lines at the will call windows and entrances to the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. We'll also have the Big Purple Truck with its popular burgers and other menu items available outside Section F by the Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility and the football practice fields. The front parking lot, known as the Jim Swink Lot (Lot 6), is now closed off for construction as part of our upcoming renovation to the DMC. Please see the following link for the best places to park Saturday and for the remainder of the season: 2014 Parking
TOWN HALL MEETING
As I'm sure you know by now, we'll be hosting a Town Hall Meeting on Monday, Feb. 3, at 6 p.m. in the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. We'll cover whatever is on your mind in our "State of TCU Athletics" address. If there are certain items you'd like to see on the agenda, or questions you want answered, please email them to frogclub@tcu.edu.
SIGNING DAY RECEPTION
With National Signing Day being two weeks from today on Feb. 5, don't hesitate in reserving your spot at our Signing Day Reception. This popular event is an annual sellout. The reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the Brown-Lupton University Union Grand Ballroom. Please see the following link to register: Click Here
BREAK OUT THE HARDHATS AT LUPTON STADIUM
Even though first pitch is still over three weeks away, there's plenty of activity taking place at Lupton Stadium. Our new home bullpen, which is being moved behind the left-field wall, will be ready by the Feb. 14 season opener versus Jacksonville. Work continues on our new player development center down the left-field line. This indoor facility includes a 4-bay hitting and pitching area.

SUPER BOWL BOUND
Congratulations to former TCU standout and now Seattle Seahawks' deep snapper Clint Gresham on becoming the 25th Horned Frog to reach the Super Bowl! Isn't that an amazing stat? We wish Clint the best against the Denver Broncos and in bringing a Super Bowl championship ring back to TCU.

FORT WORTH STOCK SHOW
As we welcome all our visitors to Fort Worth for the annual Stock Show and Rodeo, we want to extend a special shout out to our own T. Ross Bailey! In addition to his longtime role as our head athletics trainer and now associate athletics director for operations, Ross is starting his 30th year covering the rodeo with the Justin Sports Medicine group. Keep an eye out for Ross if you're headed to the Stock Show!

ON THE DOCKET
Before hosting No. 8 Kansas in a sold-out game Saturday night in Daniel-Meyer Coliseum, our men's basketball program is at No. 25 Oklahoma tonight. The 8 p.m. contest can be seen on ESPNU.
Our women's team will look to continue the momentum from Sunday's win over Texas when it travels to Norman on Saturday night to face the Sooners.
Swimming and diving will be in Austin on Friday to face Texas with a Big 12 regular-season championship at stake for our women. We're currently 3-0 in the Big 12, while the Longhorns are ranked eighth nationally.
Both our tennis programs are off to great starts this spring and will compete at the ITA National Kickoff this weekend. The men will be in Gainesville, Fla., with their first match being Saturday at 1 p.m. CST versus Florida State. Our women are headed to Pacific Palisades, Calif. They'll begin play on Friday at noon CST against UC Irvine.

BIG 12 CORNER
The Big 12 remains the No. 1 conference in the latest overall men's basketball RPI, strength of schedule, non-conference RPI and non-conference strength of schedule. Four conference teams are in the top 16 and seven in the top 43, the most of any conference. Five Big 12 teams are ranked in the Associated Press Top 25, also the most of any league. It marks the 42nd time in Big 12 history that at least five schools have been ranked in the same week. Women's basketball is just about as strong. Four teams are ranked in this week's AP Top 20.
MEET THE STAFF
Still known as "Jaws," her nickname from her TCU playing days, Lori Roditi is in her seventh year as an assistant coach with our women's golf program. The Duncanville, Texas, native recorded eight top-20 finishes, including four top-10 results, as a standout student-athlete for us. After graduating in 2002, Lori worked in private business. Through the encouragement of former teammate and current LPGA Tour star Angela Stanford, Lori decided to begin a professional golf career and played for over two years on the Futures Tour and West Coast Golf Tour. She then worked at Ridglea Golf Club as an assistant golf pro instructor before returning to her alma mater to assist head coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin. If her last name sounds familiar, it's because Lori is married to TCU men's tennis head coach David Roditi. The Horned Frog couple are expectant parents, awaiting the arrival of their son on June 1.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
Many of you remember Mike Flynn '85 as the center on our "Unbelieeeevable" 1984 Bluebonnet Bowl football team. A four-year letterman, Mike was All-Southwest Conference as a senior in addition to being the recipient of the 1983 Grassy Hinton Award. Since his graduation, Mike has been active in the Fort Worth community. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County, Greater Fort Worth Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Stephen Breen Memorial Foundation, Legatus, the Armed Forces Bowl and the TCU Frog Club. He has also been a past president of the TCU Lettermen's Association. Mike is currently president of Southland Property Tax Consultants, Inc., with offices in Fort Worth and Dallas. Mike and his wife, Jan, live in Fort Worth with their four daughters: McKinzie, Kendall, Brenna, and Delaine.

PURPLE FRIDAYS
No matter where you might be far and wide, remember to always represent the TCU Horned Frogs Nation and wear purple on Fridays!
NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Week's Answer: Comedic genius Leslie Nielsen, as Lieutenant Frank Drebin in The Naked Gun, said, "Not one man on this force will rest one minute until he's behind bars. Now, let's grab a bite to eat."
This Week's Quote: "Thank you very little."
COMPLIANCE CORNER
Sky Hook is a men's basketball prospect. Sky was deemed a non-qualifier out of high school but received an initial eligibility waiver to practice, receive athletic aid and compete during his initial year of enrollment at a four-year institution. For personal reasons, Sky decided to enroll at a two-year college instead. Sky now wants to enroll at Ocean State University (OSU) this fall.
True or False: OSU will consider Sky a qualifier for purposes of fulfilling the two-year college transfer requirements for eligibility this fall?
True. NCAA Staff Interpretation -- 1/10/14 -- Application of Two-Year College Transfer Rules to a Non-Qualifier Who Received a Fully Approved Initial-Eligibility Waiver (I) -- states that a non-qualifier who previously received a fully approved initial-eligibility waiver (e.g., obvious waiver, automatic waiver, waiver approved by NCAA staff) to permit athletically related financial aid, practice and competition in the initial year of full-time collegiate enrollment is considered a qualifier for purposes of the application of the two-year college transfer requirements.
