HAPPY THANKSGIVING
On behalf of TCU Athletics, we wish everyone a very safe and happy Thanksgiving! We hope you enjoy the day with your family.
A CLASSIC SERIES
Did you know we have played Baylor more than any other opponent in our football history? Saturday will mark the 108th meeting, and the series couldn't be closer. Last year's win gave us a 51-50-7 advantage. The series began with a scoreless tie in 1899 when we were crosstown rivals in Waco.

PURPLE OUT FOR SATURDAY
As I'm sure you've heard, we're opening up the lower east bowl for anyone wearing purple at Saturday's sold-out 2:30 p.m. home football game versus Baylor. Please note you must be wearing purple to access these first-come, first-served seats. Standing-room only tickets, at $35, remain available. Please see the following link: Click Here or visit our ticket booths on game day. Arrive early on Saturday to see our senior class honored in a pre-game ceremony!

BASEBALL AROUND THE CORNER
Baseball season-ticket renewals are now available online at the following link: Click Here
Please note the renewal deadline of Friday, Jan. 10. The season opener is Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, versus Jacksonville.
ON THE DOCKET
Make sure to support our volleyball program tonight as we host Kansas State in our final home match at 6:30 p.m. in the Rec Center. Seniors Yvonne Igodan and Fleming Smurthwaite will be recognized in a post-match ceremony. Volleyball will then close its season Saturday at Texas Tech. Both our basketball programs are on the road this week. The men, after a dramatic 64-62 Sunday night win at Washington State, are in Alaska for the Carrs/Safeway Great Alaskan Shootout. If you're up late tonight, you can catch us at 1 a.m. CST on CBS Sports Network as we open play against host Alaska-Anchorage. Our women, after last night's win over Florida Gulf Coast, face South Dakota State this evening in the second game of its stay at the Hardwood Tournament of Hope in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Tomorrow's final game is against Purdue.

BIG 12 CORNER
With two weeks left in the football regular season, four teams are in contention for the Big 12 title. The Big 12 is the only major conference with a true round-robin schedule where everyone plays everyone. The Big 12 is the only FBS league with every team having at least one win in Conference play. Through the first 15 years of the BCS, 14 Big 12 teams have finished in the Top 4 of the final BCS Standings (second behind the SEC's 16).

MEET THE STAFF
Ana Auger-Crossman is a graduate assistant in equipment services. She works directly with women's golf, soccer, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis and volleyball. She is also the equipment liaison for our spirit groups. While earning a TCU degree in movement science with a minor in Italian, Ana worked three years in our equipment room as an undergraduate. A Fort Worth native and the daughter of missionary parents, Ana is currently in our masters of liberal arts program.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
Jerad Speigel '96 & '98 was an undergraduate and graduate assistant equipment manager for our football program. Jerad has fond memories of the camaraderie that came with being part of the TCU Athletics family. He played an instrumental role in helping endow the first-ever scholarship for equipment mangers at TCU. After graduate school, Jerad worked in consulting and then started several consulting and technology companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. For the last 10 years, Jerad has been the CEO for Phase One Consulting Group in Washington, D.C. In 2012, Jerad was selected as a "Fed 100" award recipient for his impact on the Federal IT community. Jerad lives in McLean, Va., with his wife Gretchen, son Gavin, and daughters Riley and Harper.

SPANNING THE GLOBE
If you have some images of you or family and friends flashing the Horned Frogs hand sign or wearing TCU apparel from all points worldwide, please send them my way (delconte@tcu.edu) for us to share.
NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Week's Answer: Tom Berenger, as Jake Taylor in Major League, drew the following response at an awkward dinner party from a non-sports fan who was surprised to hear the Indians were still in town playing baseball, "Here in Cleveland? I didn't know they still had a team!"

This Week's Quote: "Yooooooooow, Kelly Clarkson!"
COMPLIANCE CORNER
Ocean State University will be participating in the Patriot Classic Volleyball Tournament this weekend. The organization conducting the event wants to provide an all-tournament team award to the designated student-athletes from each team. Is this permissible?
Yes with conditions. NCAA Official Interpretation - 11/8/12 - Special Event Participation Awards Based on Level of Achievement (I) - states that the committee determined that special event participation awards may include awards that are based on a level of achievement (e.g., all-tournament award, finalist award, place-finish award) in the event, provided the awards are uniform within each level and the combined value of all awards received for participation in the particular type of special event (e.g., conference championship, other established meets, tournaments and featured individual competition) does not exceed the legislated maximum value.
KEEP IN TOUCH
