CONFERENCE REALIGNMENT CHATTERWith all the talk and speculation about conference realignment, it is important to note that TCU is in a tremendous position of strength. However, lately, I have felt more like a seismologist than an athletics director, trying to predict where the next earthquake might be on the collegiate athletics landscape. That being said, I couldn't be more excited where TCU sits today because of the great vision provided by an unbelievable Chancellor and Board of Trustees, as well as having the best football coach in America. TCU has an outstanding foundation in place. We couldn't be more excited or proud of our future affiliation with the BIG EAST Conference, especially with the potential new TV contract that's in the works.
FOOTBALL UNDERWAY
We very much appreciate everyone who helped Purple Up Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco on Friday. It was so exciting and a great testament to the Horned Frog nation to see the amount of purple in the stands. From Coach Patterson and our entire institution, we thank you for making the trip to support our football program. We're now off to Colorado Springs, Colo. The Air Force game is our alumni trip, so we look forward to seeing the purple there as well.

FACILITY UPDATES
We hope to power up the main video board and sound system at Amon G. Carter Stadium this week. We also have other facility projects ongoing. Over at the Lowdon Track and Field Complex, we'll start striping the new track this week. We will also begin moving into the new weight room this week.
COMING SOON
As a reminder for those who have made deposits on club seats, watch for important information in the next several weeks concerning the seat selection dates and procedures. We will begin the process the week of Oct. 10.
TICKET WATCH
We're now over the 21,400 mark on football season tickets sold. Because we are ahead of schedule on our renovation, reserved seats in sections 215-217 in the northwest corner of Amon G. Carter Stadium have become available. The season ticket package of $255 includes the six games at Amon G. Carter Stadium as well as the BYU contest at Cowboys Stadium.

DONOR PARKING
I've heard from a few folks wondering if any donor parking is still available. I'm glad you're asking, because we still have a very limited amount of spots remaining. Please don't hesitate in contacting our Frog Club office (817-257-7700) for more information.
ATTENTION STUDENTS
Student tickets for our Oct. 28 game at Cowboys Stadium may be purchased until Sept. 30. Please click on the following link and then enter your Student ID: CLICK HERE
All student seats are general admission. Just contact our athletics ticket office (817-257-3764) with any questions. We're expecting a great crowd for the game with the 400 level now being open at Cowboys Stadium.
GOOD READING
Our run of great national coverage continues this week with a Sports Illustrated feature on football coach Gary Patterson. The piece was written from a very unique perspective. I believe you will truly enjoy it.
SMASHING DEBUTS
How about freshman Julian Brun, playing in his first collegiate tournament, winning the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate in Verona, N.Y. In fact, we had the top-two finishers as Daniel Jennevret was second in leading us to a second-place team finish. Bill Montigel, our longtime coach, has us well positioned to be a national contender this season.
GREAT STARTS
Congratulations to head coach Prentice Lewis, her staff and all the student-athletes in our volleyball program on winning the SMU Invitational for our second straight tournament championship. We beat SMU, Alabama and Lamar to take home the title and improve our record to 6-0 on the season.

HOOPS AROUND THE CORNER
Keep an eye on your mailbox for basketball season ticket renewal information coming soon. We will begin taking orders on Sept. 19 with an Oct. 24 renewal deadline. In order to be guaranteed a seat next year for our debut season in the BIG EAST Conference, you must be a season-ticket holder this year. The lower bowl in the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum is nearly sold out. We only have about 3,000 tickets left to sell for each game. All ticket prices will remain the same for both our men and women's games with one exception. Please note that all seats will be $10 for our Dec. 11 women's home date versus defending national champion Texas A&M.
ON THE DOCKET
We don't have any home events this week. However, our fall sports will still be busy. Volleyball travels to Pennsylvania for a tournament at Villanova, soccer is in Lubbock for a pair of matches and cross country competes Saturday at the UTA Invitational.
COMPLIANCE CORNER
The mission of the TCU Athletics Compliance Program is to uphold the rules and regulations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Mountain West Conference (MWC) and Texas Christian University (TCU); to monitor the processes and activities associated with such rules and regulations; and to educate institutional staff members, student-athletes and external constituents regarding such rules, regulations, processes and activities. TCU is committed and obligated to the principle of institutional control in operating its Athletics Department in a manner that is consistent with the letter and the spirit of the NCAA, MWC and University rules and regulations. The Office of Athletics Compliance coordinates, monitors and verifies compliance with all NCAA requirements and educates the various constituencies of the University and the community regarding NCAA and MWC regulations.
The Athletics Compliance Office is dedicated to providing educational programs and interpretive support to ensure that all individuals involved with the Athletics Department understand and adhere to TCU's compliance expectations. Each individual within the Athletics Department is obligated to maintain competency in knowledge of rules, to act within his or her realm of responsibility in full compliance with the rules and to report any violations of the rules. Please remember to ask before you act! If you have any questions, please feel free to call our NCAA Compliance office at (817) 257-7525.
