FOOTBALL SEASON NEARING
We're less than a month away from our football team officially reporting for preseason camp. Our first practice will be Aug. 4. Last year's Rose Bowl championship season was a memory of a lifetime. However, as Coach Patterson points out, we're 0-0 right now. It's a new team and new season. Your first official glance at our 2011 squad will be Saturday, Aug. 20, at Meet The Frogs.

MORE ON TAP
In addition to football, we also have soccer and volleyball seasons around the corner. Both sports routinely played in front of packed houses last year. They do a phenomenal job in the community and provide great opportunities for birthday parties as well as team and group outings. If you're interested in having an event at a soccer or volleyball home game, please contact our athletics marketing folks at (817) 257-7969 or email Evan Spoon (e.spoon@tcu.edu) for soccer or Julie May (julie.may@tcu.edu) for volleyball.
HOOPS UPDATE
I receive a good number of questions about our basketball schedules for the coming season. Our 2011-12 men's and women's basketball slates are starting to come together. We hope to officially announce those schedules in the next month or so. We believe you'll be excited about some of the teams coming into Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. On the men's side, our home opponents include Nebraska and Texas Tech. Our women will welcome the likes of defending national champion Texas A&M as well as NC State.

NEW FACES
Speaking of hoops, we extend an official TCU welcome to Reggie Brown and Rob Evans. They have joined our men's basketball program as assistant coaches. Reggie has strong local ties, while Rob, a former Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year at Ole Miss, brings over 40 years of collegiate experience to us.
WE'LL TALK SOON
As a reminder, please mark your calendar for Monday, July 18, at 2 p.m. for our next online chat on GoFrogs.com.
WOMEN'S CLINIC
Our annual and very popular TCU Football Women's Clinic will take place Thursday, July 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the Dee J. Kelly Alumni Center. The event benefits our Project Purple program. We're expecting a sell out. Make sure to register in advance at: CLICK HERE
COMPLIANCE CORNER
Some of you have asked if a booster can attend a public event (e.g., high school awards banquet or dinner) at which prospects are in attendance? The answer is yes. However, please note that contact with a prospect may not be pre-arranged by a TCU athletics department staff member, and no attempt may be made to recruit the prospect.
VACATION TIME
Due to an upcoming family vacation, we'll take a week off with the blog before having it return July 20.
KEEP IN TOUCH
Please let us know if you ever have any questions or concerns regarding our program. This is also your program and we value your feedback. We welcome all calls and emails.
