THE NEWEST FROGS
Congratulations to our football staff on signing an outstanding recruiting class that has been ranked in the top 25. We thank all of you who braved the elements to attend our sold-out Signing Day reception last Wednesday in the BLUU. We completely understand if you were unable to make it and are very sorry if the weather prevented you from being there. Unfortunately, with the schedule our coaches keep, there were no options to move the event to another day. Our soccer program added three student-athletes on Signing Day, and we'll soon announce our signings in track and field.
PURPLE UP
We can't thank you enough for wearing purple. We see more and more people in town proudly sporting TCU apparel. During the month of January, we ranked third nationally, behind only Auburn and Oregon, in on-line sales. In just last month alone, our revenue was more than we did for all of last year combined. In fact, our on-line sales this year have already more than tripled what we did a year ago. We totaled 83,000 visits to our on-line store (http://shop.gofrogs.com) in January.
HOOPS TONIGHT
After a strong effort at No. 6 San Diego State Saturday, our men's basketball team is home tonight at 7 to face UNLV. Please support our student-athletes and coaches who are working very hard. We only have a few home dates remaining. Our women's team, very much in the hunt for a Mountain West Conference championship, will be home Saturday at noon versus Wyoming.
IT'S A SELLOUT
We are officially sold out for next Saturday's (Feb. 19) home men's basketball game with BYU. We will have a very limited number of student tickets available for pick up Monday at 10 a.m. in our ticket office in the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. All students will be required to have a ticket for this game. Each student, with a valid current TCU ID, will only be allowed to pick up one ticket.
BE THERE
If you are a season-ticket holder, we need you more than ever to be in the stands for the Feb. 19 men's basketball game with BYU. It's a sellout, and we're looking to have as much purple as possible in the stands. If you're a season-ticket holder and cannot make the game, please pass your tickets on to others who will be there.
HELMET MANIA
Between our Rose Bowl Celebration and the Signing Day reception, our Frog Club raised $28,000 from the sale of 10 game-worn Rose Bowl helmets. We're looking to have more available at the April 2 football banquet. The replica mini-helmets of the Rose Bowl helmets have sold out on our on-line store (http://shop.gofrogs.com). However, more have been ordered and will be available soon.
OUR NATIONAL PASTTIME
The start of the season is literally around the corner for our top-ranked baseball team. We open the 2011 campaign next Friday, Feb. 18, versus Kansas. The following weekend, perennial power Cal State Fullerton comes to the newly expanded Lupton Stadium. All reserved seats are already sold out for the opening two games of the CSF series. Baseball season tickets were mailed yesterday. We still have a limited amount of season tickets and reserved parking available.
FUN OFF THE DIAMOND
Our baseball program will hold its Alumni Weekend this weekend. Friday's First Pitch banquet, held at the Omni in downtown Fort Worth, begins with a silent auction at 6:15 p.m. The Alumni Game will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lupton Stadium. The second-annual "Frogs for the Cure" Women's Baseball Clinic is next Thursday, Feb. 17, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility. To purchase tickets or for more information on the First Pitch banquet or the Women's Clinic, please contact TCU director of baseball operations Meredith Montgomery at (817) 257-5155 or m.m.montgomery@tcu.edu.
SUPER BOWL EXPOSURE
TCU received great exposure from our band and Showgirls being part of the pre-game festivities at Sunday's Super Bowl. The band, which performed flawlessly at Cowboys Stadium, was not at last Saturday's home women's basketball game in order to have one final practice before their big show.
COMING SOON
As a reminder, we'll have a March mailing with information on parking, seating and club seats for the 2011 football season. There will also be a pre-sale of 2012 club seats. There has been strong interest in the four suites still available for purchase on the west side of Amon G. Carter Stadium. For more information, please contact TCU associate athletics director Davis Babb at d.babb@tcu.edu or (817) 257-5658.
SAVE THE DATE
Please mark your calendar for April 22 when the 14th-annual Charles Coody Classic will be held at Texas Star in Euless. We'll soon pass along more information on how to register.

Please let us know if you ever have any questions or concerns regarding our program. This is also your program and we value your feedback.
